On 26th December 2024, the SPCA received a report about birds being trapped in a coffee shop. Our Animal Rescue Officers (AROs) were immediately dispatched to the scene, where they discovered two mynah birds confined in separate traps set up by the coffee shop manager.

This morning, we responded to an urgent call about an injured softshell turtle. Upon inspection, we found a deeply embedded fishing hook in its right foreleg, deep cuts on its carapace, and heartbreakingly, a missing left foreleg 💔

⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠ This cat was the victim of a road traffic accident, a tragic fate that far too many street animals suffer. Thankfully, Laitaem has someone looking out for her – a kind feeder who called us immediately. 🚨
Arriving at our hospital after dark, our animal rescue officer met the veterinary team who quickly got to work. Sadly, the damage was done and Laitaem lost her eye. A mandibular wire was also implanted to help heal her broken jaw.😢

It has been 6 days since Uros went missing on 27/1 at 12:20 PM near the old palm oil trees area by Taman Menara Maju, along Jalan Raja Nong. We are beyond worried—he has never been a stray, and with days passing, we can’t imagine how he is surviving alone, especially with the loud firecrackers at night.
