⚠Upsetting images⚠ Poor Ysera was found with a life-threatening wound on one of his front legs. He had been caught in a snare trap for wild animals and never received the care he so desperately needed.
Not only this, but upon further examination, our vets also found Ysera had a bullet lodged in his neck. This sweet boy must have been in unbearable pain 💔.

On 18 January 2024, a member of the public discovered a chinchilla outside his doorstep at level 4 of Blk 666B Jurong West Street. He took the chinchilla in and simultaneously put up posters to find the chinchilla’s owner. Unfortunately, no one has stepped forward to claim the chinchilla.
The chinchilla was brought into the SPCA’s care on 21 January 2024. The chinchilla was not microchipped.

The total is Rm16,299.30 ( including salary for a caretaker at Janda Baik Rm3,000 for 2 workers ). This case is a near-fatal reminder of the importance of spaying.
Our mobile clinic team in Phattalung province recently found this poor dog struggling on the streets. Someone had given her a contraceptive injection to prevent pregnancy. Although well-meaning, they were ill-educated on the effects these injections can have.

The nesting season had barely started, and we're flooded again! 😭
It took only 2 days of rain to raise the water level so significantly. Our Terrapin Guardians had just erected 3 camp sites recently, and now they have to dismantle and retrieve whatever they can to minimise our losses. Canvas sheets, boats, engines.
Our nightly patrols are now restricted to the one nesting bank that is still visible. The other nesting banks are completely submerged.

We have temporarily blocked all direct bank-in transfers due to scammers exploiting SCAS’s bank account number in an elaborate cryptocurrency scam
