Our palliative care Marley had been very quiet and subdued recently. The cancer could have spread through her lungs and up to her throat as we could feel the lumps around her neck. We took her to the vet where she was given very strong pain killers for the next 10 days. She perked almost immediately after that - confirming that she was indeed in pain. We just hope the strong painkiller meds will not destroy her kidneys and liver by the time she goes. Currently, Marley will be pampered and given ...

2022 continued #SoiDog20Years 🧡
Soi Dog’s spay/neuter programme (known as CNVR – Catch, Neuter, Vaccinate, Return) was boosted further in 2022 with the addition of four more teams, taking the total to 13. Eight of these teams operate in the Greater Bangkok area and five in Thailand’s southern provinces.
Collectively, almost 200,000 animals were reached in 2022, taking the all-time total past the 800,000 milestone.

About 10 days ago at USJ , a pup ( picture ) was hit by an on going vehicle and he was spotted by our volunteer. He had a fracture in his left hind leg. A corrective surgery was performed. A week later, the vet found out that he couldn’t feel a thing on the leg, according to vet, the peripheral nerve might have been damaged, amputation may be the only option. We will see.

We sincerely apologise to our supporters who tried to remit donations into our CIMB account recently. It was with much dismay that we discovered the bank had frozen the account without giving any reason or prior notice to Paws. Thereafter, the bank has informed us that they have assessed their risk appetite and wished to discontinue their banking relationship of more than 30 years with Paws.
