As rice is a staple, Chinese believe that rice buckets must be filled to the brim (米缸长满). It signifies having an abundance of food on the table throughout the year.
Our rice bank has definitely filled up to the brim today by generous donor, Mr Lee.
Thanks for never failing to send some rice to our animals shelter before CNY and many other occasions too. We are grateful to have someone like you who thinks of the underprivileged.

⚠️ Upsetting images ⚠️ If there’s one way to describe Roisak, it’s small but mighty. Arriving when he was just nine weeks old, Roisak’s left eye was inflamed and causing him a lot of pain. 😟
Whilst examining Roisak our veterinary team discovered that his eye had completely ruptured. 😧 We’re not sure what could have caused it, but some form of trauma to the eye is usually the common cause.
With the damage being so severe, Rosiak will need to have surgery to remove the eye...

Returning from their routine night trapping on a Thursday morning at 3am, our SPCA staff found an abandoned cat outside our main gate. The cat was shaking in fear.
We are perturbed. Abandonment cases increase during spring cleaning periods when animals are discarded like unwanted furniture. At the SPCA, we received at least a ~20% increase in requests by the public to surrender their animals during the same period. A pet ...
