Elophy was brought to Soi Dog in 2016 along with her five fellow littermates and her mum. They’d been living together at a construction site, but they weren’t welcome there and needed a place of safety.
Elophy’s siblings were all adopted while they were still puppies, and her mum finally found her home in Canada just last year. Elophy is still here, calling Soi Dog home for nearly five years now.

We receive many messages and WhatsApp messages on a daily basis asking us to clear entire packs of dogs from neighbourhoods and factories and place them in our sanctuary. Rescue does not work that way. It is not right to clear the streets of dogs and stuff them in shelters – because it will result in the shelter being a big sham or failure. When he was just a few weeks old, Doriangray fell deep into a well. Luckily for this little mischief maker, our Emergency Response Team were able to rush to the scene and carry out a successful rescue mission. It was their quick thinking to use a basket and rope to retrieve him that saved his life.
