It's #VolunteerRecognitionDay and we wanted to give a big shout out to our amazing volunteers who gave their time and energy to socialise the sanctuary dogs (and some who even came to spend time specifically with the kitties) over the last few weeks.🧡
We also wanted to give a big round of applause👏to volunteers around the world who take part in different activities to raise funds and create awareness about Soi Dog, like two of our supporters who took part in the Round the Bays half marath...

Please Sponsor A Scared Shelter Dog Like Despina 20th Apr 2021, by Soi Dog Foundation
I was abandoned along with my babies. I was desperately trying to keep them alive when someone called Soi Dog about us. The lady who found us tried to get close to help me, but I got very angry. How could I trust anyone again after I’d been dumped so cruelly?
My name is Despina. And today I am asking you to do something very special. Will you be a sponsor for me? You can sign up here: https://links.soidog.org/please-sponsor-despina-to day

Salina was just a two month old puppy when we first saw her. After meeting with an accident, she injured both her back legs. It was a long road to recovery, but she’s made a fantastic come back and is living a full life despite being a tri-paw.🐾
She needs the support of a wheel chair when out on long walks, but otherwise manages exceptionally well on three legs.
She is just one of the many rescues who live at Soi Dog Foundation, safely away from the evil and horrors that once haunted their...

Bird, Cupcakes And Dogs. Yesterdays Event Was An I.. 19th Apr 2021, by Second Chance
Bird, Cupcakes and Dogs!!!
Yesterday’s event was an interesting one!
Not only did two dogs receive their forever home, an injured baby pigeon found on the sidewalk received help!
Our volunteer delivered the injured baby bird to capable hands, and now it’s being nursed back to health. The baby bird likely fell from its nest while trying to fly, as it has what appeared to be a crippled/deformed leg. This baby bird is now receiving its second chance to life.🪶
We are also blessed to have the ...

We Were Informed That A Stray Dog Fell Into A Deep.. 19th Apr 2021, by SPCA Ipoh
We were informed that a stray dog fell into a deep ditch and could not get out. When we arrived at the scene and found that it could not be approached, we could not immediately save it. With the help of passers-by, we built a simple plank and let the stray dog use it as a bridge. After we left the scene, the staff of the leisure park informed us that the stray had jumped up safely.
Thanks to the kind and helpful passers-by and staffs for helping us and the stray dog.

It Was A Traumatising Morning For Us As We Lost A .. 19th Apr 2021, by Langkawi Animal Shelter & Sanctuary Foundation
It was a traumatising morning for us as we lost a kitten to a python. Our volunteer walked in to the cat area this morning and found the cats edgy and staring at the corner of the kennel. She then saw a full bellied Reticulated python staring at her. It probably came around to hunt for food at night and unfortunately took a very curious 5 months old kitten of ours. It couldn't escape through the fence after that. We then called the fire services to take it away. The python got angry when it was ...

One Of Our Members Who Works At Seri Kembangan Bum.. 19th Apr 2021, by TNRM Malaysia
One of our members who works at Seri Kembangan bumped into a feeder, Auntie Leong we called her. There were easily 20 over dogs in a group that she’s feeding and there are more in the nearby areas.
On her own, Auntie Leong could only manage to spay three female dogs due to their friendly nature. The rest are untouchable. We went over this afternoon and we managed to trap three female dogs and one male dog. One of the female dogs has TVT and she needs to be treated before spaying.
Once again ...
