My name is Doris, and I was taken from my mother at only 8 weeks old π₯π. I was too young to remember much, but the trauma of that early separation and abandonment still haunts me to this day π₯ The person who took me away dumped me in the garden of a Soi Dog volunteer. That was a lucky shot, as I was then brought to the shelter where they have been taking great care of me ever since. ππΆπΎ

This very feral and badly injured cat turned up at Muzium Negara. Fredrik and Caroline have been neutering, releasing and caring for community cats at Muzium Negara.
We donβt typically rescue hurt cats but our member, Vrinda was doing a trap neuter program at a nearby location with Caroline and Fredrik.

This poor kitty somehow managed to survive with a bullet in his leg and no medical care. π¨π How could anyone hurt an animal like that?
Raiden was found limping, with a severely swollen leg. He couldn't even walk, imagine trying to fend for himself on the street! Every time we witness such brutal cruelty, it breaks our hearts to see how evil the world can be for stray kitties like Raiden.π¨π₯

I try to embrace other aspects of sustainability, such as buying loose fruits and vegetables that come without excess packaging or plastic wraps. This encourages me to bring my reusable bag whenever I do my groceries.
I also have more fun cooking now, exploring new plant-based recipes. Iβm much more aware of my nutritional intake in general, and I feel more energized than ever. What I eat now gives me the continual spark of energy I need to not just βget through the dayβ but to thrive.
