#DYK There is a special bond between orang-utans and Rumah Manggat villagers in Ulu Sungai Menyang, Sarawak? To this day, folks in this lban longhouse maintain their traditional culture, customs and some taboos. Culturally connected to this great ape, they believe humans are descendants of orang-utans and will be reincarnated as one when they die. The villagers also believe that orang-utans taught their ancestors on how to give birth and provide post-natal care.

It's definitely not easy for all animal shelters/rescuer in this time of crisis. Many are facing shortage of resources to run the shelter properly.
Despite that, there are even more kind and generous Malaysians came forward to help us, one of them is Lazada . Thanks to their #strongertogether campaign they've donated a lot of pet food to us! The animals will be forever be grateful!

We currently have four distemper positive doggos admitted at various clinics that have isolation facilities. The admitted doggos includes the fellow who brought back the virus from one of our regular clinics where he had gone for a minor ailment. These are not our regular clinics. Two dogs, that are negative bur showing clinical signs, are also boarded at a paying fosterer's place for quarantine. We need urgent help to pay the deposits as well as veterinary and boarding costs.
