“When the Plant-Based Whopper was first introduced back in 2019, it sparked a number of articles comparing it with the original. One tabloid newspaper noted its high sodium and fat content, adding: “at the end of the day, it’s no healthier than a classic beef burger”.
A dietitian quoted in the piece also ‘recommended’ opting for beef burgers due to the “GMO foods, colors, flavorings” in the vegan option.

Since the pandemic began, we have had a significant drop in visitors, adoptions and donations. *URGENT*
Auntie Winnie has been tirelessly helping the animals for years, however due to recent unfortunate events she has to run the shelter alone and her health is not permiting her doing any hard labour.

Thanks Katie for your hard work! Look at our foster mama cat and her kittens and how well they’ve recovered since!
Fostering is another way to help alleviate the massive surrendering pressure on shelters as we have limited space. Experienced fosterers like Katie and many others on our foster lists now are very rare!
