Vaccination Aid For 2 Dogs In Gelang Patah (Nujtiya Chareansouk’s) 15th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
We have provided an aid of RM50 for the vaccinations for 2 dogs.
This aid is contributed by Avant Pet Sdn Bhd.
Dear Dr. Chan,
I have sent 1 female dog and 1 male dog in Johor for vaccination on 09/MAR/2019.
These 2 dogs were found abandoned by someone at my Taman. I spent about a week to win their trust. One of the residents reported to the council to catch them but luckily I managed to catch them a day before the council came.
I sent them for neutering on 24/JAN/2019 and had their first vaccin...

Dear Dr. Chan,
As discussed, I have started implementing CNRM for the stray dogs in Gelang Patah (GP) Johor. I named this place as “GP-Area A” since I feed a few different areas everyday. There are 9 dogs (4 males & 5 females) in Area A, but I would concentrate on neuter...

It’s So, So Hot! 15th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
https://myanimalcare.org/wp-content/uploads/2019/ 03/WhatsApp-Video-2019-03-15-at-05.16.35.mp4
Indy is one of those cats who must drink water from a running tap. He doesn’t trust water bowls. Yes, he trusts Syabas!
He has always drunk his water this way. Initially I was worried at the amount he drinks, but was told he is just a “hot cat” and loves to drink water.

Did Vincent “know”? 15th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
The house feels so empty without Vincent.
I took a nap yesterday afternoon and when I woke up, instinctively, I thought of feeding Vincent. Is Vincent hungry, would he like some food? Then, I realised he was gone.
Also, instinctively, I woke up at 3am today, as I had been doing for the past few months now. Every day at 3am, I lay in bed, hoping Vincent would still be alright when I came downstairs.
And he would be.
Right from the time he was diagnosed, I was told to prepare myself as his conditi...

Saying Farewell To Vincent 14th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I am comforted that Vincent’s passing was a very peaceful one and that it happened at home. He even came back to the bathroom and slept right in front of the entrance. It was like he had a choice to be exactly where he wanted to be.
I have always believed, in my limited experience, that animals choose the time of their passing. When it is time, they will let go.
No 50-50 surgery. No dilemma for me. Vincent decided it was time to go.
Golden lads and girls all must, as chimney sweeps, come ...

Vincent’s Decision 14th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
Vincent passed away very peacefully early this morning.
This morning was the only morning, for quite some time now, that I come downstairs without fear of what I might find, but with hope. Hope of a successful surgery today, so that Vincent may be free from the toothache. I had positive thoughts last night, that the surgery will be a success, that he will beat the odds and prove all predictions wrong (again), that we will be able to feed him through the esophagal tube and he will put on weight a...

Decision For Vincent (we Need Your Kind Thoughts, Please) 13th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I spoke with the vet about the tooth extraction. To cut a long story short, we are going for it tomorrow.
Initially the vet didn’t think it should be done because the reality is that Vincent doesn’t have much time left. But to me, it doesn’t matter how much time he has left, I don’t want him to be in pain for the rest of his (however short) time.
If we don’t do it, he will continue to be in pain and he will starve to death. As it is now, Ming-Yi came to ...

Vincent Tries To Eat 13th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
I went out to see what other food I could get for Vincent and came home with chicken and steamed fish (a different type this time, not bawal as he would surely not want bawal anymore, I know).
I didn’t expect Vincent to come to the kitchen as he seems very weak now, but he did. And he asked for food.
I thought he’d be interested in the fish since it’s soft, but no, he went for the chicken instead. He tried to eat but he did flick off some pieces. I don’t know if this is ...

Still Sitting Like A Lion 13th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
This was yesterday evening’s photo. Still very dignified.
Last night, he was sleeping soundly in the cage when I went upstairs. It’s good that he can sleep restfully.
I got up this morning, came downstairs and Vincent staggered out from his cage to greet me. I am amazed at his resilience and his spirit. The muscle wastage is very severe and fast. Yet his spirit is nothing short of remarkable. It reminds me of what our late chief reverend used to say a lot, “When the body is si...

Please Keep All Your Animals Indoors 12th Mar 2019, by AnimalCare
We all know the earth belongs to all living beings, but some humans disagree. And these humans enact laws that prohibit animals from living peacefully in the environment.
Sadly, animal lovers are grossly outnumbered in this country.
Therefore, please keep your animals indoors, as many as you can.
We have received many reports that it is VERY unsafe to let your animals roam freely.
Meanwhile, neuter, neuter, neuter and stop the breeding. Rehome as many as you can.
If you need any financial...
