The fluffy white cat has been trying to invade our porch and Ginger does not like him…at all.
For the last two days, Mr Zurik fought FluffyWhite off.
FluffyWhite obviously has a home as he looks like a pedigree cat.
We helped Mr Zurik by chasing the white one out. Mind you, FluffyWhite puts up a mean fight too. Thankfully, it was just war cries. Nothing physical.

Keep Your Dogs And Cats Indoors

Here we go again…..
For the next three days, please keep your dogs and cats indoors for their own safety.
The council by-laws can only be changed by the politicians. We need a bigger voice to let the lawmakers know what we want.
Meanwhile, catching is going on. Word on the ground is that now they do it even without complaints.
Did we vote for a more heartless government? Next round, you know what to do.
Please keep all your animals safely indoors. Prioritise rehoming, please.

Continuing Mr Zurik’s Fight

Yesterday, Buddy went one step further and tried to take Mr Zurik’s spot on the roof.

Mr Zurik had gone to his roof sanctuary and we saw Buddy there as well. But of course we couldn’t do much as we could not climb onto the roof.

Cleo, Fish Oil And Occam’s Razor

I’m still trying to get Cleo to eat the fish oil…
I’ve tried 3 brands of fish oil, discreetly mixed into various types of foods (Cubgrub, canned food, etc.) but none has been totally successful. Coatex and NatureMade are capsules so some of the oil is wasted on the scissors and my fingers. Furthermore once mixed with food, Cleo either walks away after sniffing at the food, or she licks, but only part of the food. The oil has been mixed so again, I don’t know how much of...

Neutering Aid For 1 Dog In Kampung Baru Balakong (Liew Wei Jane’s)

We have provided an aid of RM100 for the neutering of this dog. This dog is fed by Mr Chua Chee Meng and Mr Liew has undertaken the task and costs of getting the dog neutered.

Neutering Aid For 3 Dogs In Pandamaran (Ku Nget Hiong’s)

We have provided an aid of RM270 for the neutering of these 3 dogs.
Ms Jenny Ku has voluntarily reduced RM10 from each claim. The dogs are being fostered by Uncle Goh Ah Soon now.
We have requested for photos of the previous dogs under Ms Jenny Ku whose neutering we have aided in. She will send the photos by Tuesday evening because she is currently back in her hometown for the Qing Ming festival.

Mr Lee Chin Siang’s Sharing On His CNRM Work

One of our applicants responded to our announcement on the project-based application.
He is Mr Lee Chin Siang and he started applying for our aid in April 2014. We have since helped him with 28 neutering cases and 11 vaccinations. Even way back, on his own, he would send updates on his cats whose neutering we had aided in.
Todate, Mr Lee has done a total of 66 neuterings of street cats, many of which he funded on his own and through the kind and generous donations of friends. And he learnt...

The Difference Between CNRM And TNR

We would like to distinguish the difference between what we promote, ie. CNRM and what is sometimes done by certain rescuers, ie. TNR.
CNRM stands for C=Care, N=Neuter, R=Rehome or Return-to-Colony and M=Manage. In CNRM, we cannot over-emphasise how important the CARE component is. Buddy had been getting out of hand…
We don’t know exactly what had happened between he and Mr Zurik, but from being best buddies, Mr Zurik had grown very, very afraid of Buddy.

While Indy may look tough, do not be deceived…. He is a very good and kind cat. When Bunny (who is blind) bumps into Cow, Cow hisses and whacks him, and sometimes this leads to a huge fight with war cries and the full works. But when Bunny bumps into Indy, Indy just steps aside. We have seen Bunny literally walk all over Indy and Indy just lets him be.
