Pole Is…..A-Okay!

I really hope so….
Yesterday, my friend, Cathy, came over and she brought some treats for the cats. These were treats from iherb.com. There was a chicken treat, a rabbit treat and a fish treat. The cats only liked the chicken treat. So Bunny ate up everything that was left behind!
I think it was the chicken treat that stimulated Pole’s appetite again. She loved the treats and right after that, she asked her normal food!
This morning, I rewarded her with the chicken treat again...

Cow’s anger management problem seems to have dissipated now. He is much calmer and allows prolonged petting. The petting aggression is also gone.
Since his infant days, Cow had taken upon myself to protect Bunny and Pole. His duty continues until today, unwaveringly. He is totally resolute and committed to looking after his siblings, especially Bunny.
Cow has the loyalty of a dog.

Is Pole Finally Okay Yet?

You might remember that Pole had a vomiting problem which started four days ago when I gave all of them a different brand of fish oil (yes, my fault, I shouldn’t have changed the brand).
Ever since then, she has not gone back to 100% yet.
I was monitoring her all day yesterday and there was no more vomiting. However, she still did not eat as much as she normally does.
This afternoon, she vomited at two spots, but it was just very small amounts and it was the white froth.

Heidi Bullies Zurik

What started off as playing has now become a case of bullying.
I have caught Heidi whacking Zurik at least two times so far. And on each occasion, I told Heidi off.
Today, Jia-Wen witnessed it all.
Zurik was sleeping on the sofa minding his own business. Heidi came, walked over to the sofa, put her two paws up and whacked Zurik, giving him a shock of his life (Zurik was sleeping).

Little Wonders Cafe is our go-to diner when we want 5-star meals served with the warmest hospitality, so near to home, at the most reasonable prices.

Cat Tunnels For The Cats!

Seeing how Heidi loves the laundry basket, we decided to buy cat tunnels from Ikea today! Also, Ginger needs to exercise so we are hoping he will play in the tunnels.
Heidi was the first to try out the tunnel. She wasn’t scared. She ran in and came out, and sped off into her safehouse!

Zurik Plays With Heidi

Heidi is an old cat, but she still loves to play. Very often, she plays with Tabs. But since Tabs is a timid cat and Heidi can play rough, Tabs is often scared of Heidi.
Lately, Heidi has been playing inside our laundry basket. She loves going inside to scratch, roll about, then run off and hide in her safehouse (the blue carrier, which is hers).

Zurik’s Blunt Teeth And Still More On FIP

Zurik has “blunt” teeth. You’d think that is less dangerous, but it isn’t necessarily so. He can inflict blunt force trauma on me when I feed him his medicines!
But I suppose blunt force trauma is less painful than sharp teeth injury!! There is less likelihood of puncture wounds which warrant a tetanus shot!

Pole’s Vomiting Problem

Pole vomited many times yesterday. I think it could be due to a different brand of fish oil that I tried out with wetfood. After eating that, she vomited no less than 10 times, but initially, it was the food she had eaten, then followed by many rounds of small amounts of whitish bile. It did not look serious enough to warrant a trip to the vet’s. Knowing Pole, she would be totally freaked out of a car trip and that itself could do more harm than good.

Zurik is on twice-day steroids now, but still within the anti-inflammatory dosage. We can only hope that this will reduce the inflammation and thus, reduce the effusion.
As explained by the vet, his body will adjust and get used to the fluids in the lung cavity. So it will appear that he can breathe “quite well” but this doesn’t mean that the lung cavity isn’t filling up. I scrambled an organic egg with butter, for Zurik.
Let’s hope he eats it. If he does, it would be so easy to make this for him daily.
But no.
Zurik sniffed at it and walked OVER it.
Eggs? You expect me to eat eggs? I’m a descendant of the tiger. I don’t eat eggs!
