Updates from Lydia:Horsey is doing fine. Loo's Puppies And Dogs For Adoption

I met Loo, an ardent and dedicated dog-and-cat rescuer, at Petfinder's event.  We've helped Loo before previously, with her cats.  Loo works in a restaurant and has been rescuing many, many stray animals.At the event, she spent a long time showing me the photos of all her rescues and telling their stories.  It is sad to know how much these street dogs suffer because they are homeless and some are abused by people.  Loo tells of mother-dogs who give birth and subsequently lose...

A Male Cat Neutered

Today, Cathy managed to catch one of her neighbourhood stray male cats.  The cat has now been neutered under our sponsorship.This neutered tomcat will be released back to the neighbourhood but if he comes back to Cathy's, she will feed him.Viva la CNRM!  One tomcat neutered, hundreds of unwanted pregnancies prevented.

Horsey's Amputation

I don't like to keep people in suspense, so I always start from the end - Horsey's amputation went very well and Lydia is taking Hosey home now, for the month-long fostering.Phew!!Now...the full story....Lydia and I were at the clinic at 10am sharp, waiting for Horsey to arrive.  Here's Horsey...she's so small, Lydia exclaimed.  All the better, because small-sized dogs do very well with 3 legs. Little Pug, Darlyn, Remembering Fufu

Cat With Diaphragmatic Hernia (updates)

This is the X-Ray of the cat with diaphragmatic hernia brought in by Mrs Goh.  The vet suspects the liver has gone into the chest cavity.  Mrs Goh has decided not to proceed with the high-risk operation, but instead, take the cat back and look after her. The X-Ray and bloodwork (the cat is clear from FeLV and FIV) are sponsored from our funds. She'll have to be prevented from jumping and knocking into any surfaces.The cat seems to be okay now.

Poor Mother-Cat
