From Francis:The cat was released at the park at about 6.45am this morning. She rushed to hide under a car nearby. But half hour later, she came back again to meet her friends and ate more dry food. Wii was one of my rescues, along with his sister, Vixey. Vixey was a pygmy cat (and was predicted to have a short life-span since her organs would degenerate fast). After Vixey passed away, Wii exiled himself to my back alley and Cow and Bunny also chased him away. My house became a "BunnyCare" centre yesterday after Bunny came home from his "lancing" procedure. He only wanted to sleep on cushions, so he went from cushion to cushion all night. Mei Leng came over to discharge Jenny. She said Jenny was so happy she actually ran around the clinic. Mdm Hoo's 3 Stray Dogs Spayed

Mdm Hoo is from Kajang and she looks after many stray dogs. On her own, she has been doing spay-neuter for many years. Last week, we sponsored the spaying of 3 of her female dogs at her regular clinic. Since it is not our panel clinic, we subsidised based on our rates.

Comel Has Gone Back To The Market Now

Ah Fatt was at the clinic this afternoon, and the vet said Comel could already be discharged. So, Ah Fatt brought her back to the market. The clinic closes at 6pm, so I had to pick up Bunny even before he had fully awakened from the sedation.The vet said the procedure went well, but some extras were done for Bunny, just to be on the safe side. He was also given subcutaneous fluids to prevent dehydration.Bunny lying down comfortably in the cage at the clinic. His pupils are still dilated which indicates he is not fully awake yet. The 5 Kittens Are Doing Much Better Today

I popped into the clinic for a quick visit and the 5 kittens are doing much better today. The two sick ones look better too. I was worried the other three would come down with flu as well, but things look pretty good for now. Flu spreads within a 10 metre radius, so it's quite impossible to segregate them. Jenny's In Fine Fettle

Jenny is as good as she can be. The vets are incredibly happy with her rate of recovery. Hey Jenny! Bunny's Injured....again!

Two nights ago, I heard sounds of fighting in the drain outside. I went out and heard Bunny's war-cry. A ginger-white cat has appeared in our area a few weeks back and Bunny has been protecting his territory. I tried to call Bunny out but he wouldn't come out and there was nothing much I could do since both of them were inside the drain. Request To Help A Pet Cockerel

This is definitely a first. I received an email request to help a pet cockerel with an injured leg last night. I've consulted our vets and they said they do not have the medication for chickens, so they'd prefer not to. The best place would be UPM as there is a specialist for chickens there. Failing which, Zoo Negara is also possible, but only with contacts. If you know of any private vet who can treat pet chickens, do please leave a comment here.
