Puppy is the little puppy rescued by Janz from Penang. Puppy has tick fever and was in dire straits last night. He was given a blood transfusion and the vet wasn't sure if he would pull through the night.He did.My friend, Huey, is helping Janz by visiting Puppy and in other ways as well. Updates On Brownie - Blood Count Is 2.8 (that's Good!)

Winnie visited Brownie again this evening. The blood test results are promising - Brownie's white blood count is now 2.8! That's quite significant, but it still has to normalize to 6.0. Brownie ate by himself again this evening, which is really good.I've just checked with Dr Tan and he said he had given enough RetroMad1 for 7 days, so Brownie would have enough till then. After visiting Brownie, I drove back to Subang Jaya to visit Karuna.The temple administrator said Karuna has been barking all day yesterday. And, apparently, a wild dog had come into the temple grounds yesterday. Harsha said that was the dog who had bitten Karuna. Harsha will keep an eye on this. Visiting Brownie This Morning

I drove down to PJ to visit Brownie this morning and managed to speak with the vet. He said Brownie is "slightly better", has not vomited or had any diarrhoea (yay!) and the prognosis is now better. Brownie also ate by himself this morning. He is still on the RetroMad1, but according to the vet, Brownie had already started improving even before the drug was administered. Janz is a dog-feeder from Penang. She wrote to me last night, requesting financial assistance in helping a puppy she had rescued from the street. The puppy is currently boarded at a vet's (in Penang) and has been diagnosed with tick fever. The prognosis is not good. The vet was no sure if the puppy would even pull through the night. Maslinda contacted me yesterday to say two of her newly-rescued kittens were having diarrhoea. I told her not to delay and quickly bring to our vet today. Every small step is a milestone for Brownie, and a huge relief for us all.Great news from Winnie this evening:Hi Kah Yein,I got here about 630pm despite the jam. I was at the vet's in PJ with Citta, and Brownie is boarding there as well. But I was not allowed to see Brownie as that's the clinic's policy (they had closed for the day).The vet who attended to Brownie said the prognosis is bad. Brownie's white blood count is only 0.8. Anything under 1.0 is very bad.Brownie is now on drips. Myers called saying Citta had been spotted at the playground behind the clinic. So I drove over quickly. By the time I reached, Myers said Citta had bolted towards the shopping mall. We drove around the area again to look for Citta. Did not sight her anywhere.However, the food has been eaten....The vet had put Citta's favourite canned food in the steel bowl. It's empty now, but we can't be sure if Citta ate it. The kibbles have been touched as well.Wani is bringing Citta's mother to help look for her. I have to go to the clinic again now.Updates later...
