We have very good news to share. A friend of mine used to think TVT was untreatable or that the treatment was terribly expensive until I told him it's VERY treatable and affordable. This evening, a rescuer I know had to make that very painful decision of having a sick puppy under her care put to sleep.She came by just now, to return the remaining RetroMAD1 to me. We do not count days, but moments and we rejoice now in this good news from Agnes:Snowy is very alert today (5th day) and has been eating and drinking on his own. He was walking around inside the cage to look at the surroundings. Dr Tan was very kind to let me have a month's supply of RetroMAD1 at a dosage of 0.3ml, once per day. Can also give twice a day. I dropped in at Wei Leng's mum's hair dressing salon today to check on Only-One. Little did I know, Wei Leng and June had taken Only-One for an evening walk to my house! Snowy Day 5 - To Take RetroMAD1

Since Snowy is FeLV positive, it occurred to me last night that rather than just providing palliative care for him, we could try RetroMAD1 as well. So, first thing this morning I contacted the scientist and he said in their earlier trials, the drug did kill off human Non-Hodgkins Beta Lymphoma cells and did not affect normal cells. Snowy Day 3 (leukemia And Lymphoma)

Updates on Snowy on Day 3 - it's not good news. Snowy is FeLV positive (which means he has leukemia), but FIV negative. However, he has lymphoma, which is a malignant cancer.
From Agnes:
Snowy has been taken out of the bubble from 10.00pm last night and has been breathing on his own. This was after the vet extracted 136 ml of bloody fluid from his chest cavity (Left 74ml, Right 62 ml). No fluid was detected in the abdominal cavity.

Peggy Tiong had been telling me about this male cat whom she had noticed about 6 months now. He has wounds on his face and he definitely looks like someone's pet. All Is Well With Only-One And Mum

Only-One poo-ed twice today and it was FULL of dead worms. We're glad the dewormer is working now and Only-One has finally poo-ed. His abdomen is also not so bloated. He is eating well, fed regularly by Wei Leng and June.The cat-mum seems happier in feeding Only-One now. Maybe she also feels better since she is on the IAMS kitten food that I bought yesterday.
