The GREAT Pooping Experience! 16th Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
So, the vet was right!!I just needed to feed more kibbles for the Blueys to "push" the faeces out. And I have to give them more water. Milk alone is not enough. You need water. So I did just that last night. Within half an hour, Bagheera pooped. And this morning, it was Baloo's (long-awaited) turn. Here's the account....Shortly after breakfast I heard a mild squealing sound from under my table. I looked and there was Baloo, in position to poop. Then, it happened! This beautiful le...

Manja And Her Pill-Popping Sessions 15th Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
CP's updates on Manja (Manja was "lost" for many hours):All through last night I was busy fussing over Manja. After spending so much time walking up and down the street plus back alley, peeping into drains, neighbours’ gardens etc despite the heavy downpour, Manja limped into my house coolly just as I was about to go one more round after my dinner to look for her. It was 8.30pm then and the rain had subsided. Haiz.. these furkids really gave us heart-racing moments.Around 6.30pm I drove to HR ...

Over In Indonesia....really??? 14th Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
An Indonesian part-time domestic helper approached me a few days ago asking if I'd like my house cleaned. I guess with Hari Raya just passed, they need some pocket money and my house can always do with a cleaning...anytime. So I said okay.So this afternoon, Su came over with her friend, Bib. Bib was fascinated with the Blueys and asked me why they were without their mum. I explained that the Blueys were found inside a drain and their mum did not want to look after them anymore. Then Bib sa...

Dogfood Fund Raising For Meiji's 128 Dogs 14th Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
I've written many times about Meiji, a lady who single-handedly runs a dog sanctuary up on the hills of Raub where there are currently 128 dogs. We have been helping Meiji with the spay-neuter bills of her dogs and also the medical treatment at our panel vets or at her vets in Ampang or UPM. She drives all the way from Raub to the Klang Valley whenever her dogs are sick, to bring them to the vet.All her dogs are spayed-neutered, and most importantly...happy and healthy.Meiji taps rubber to ...

Another "Great" Rescue (That's What Friends Are For) 14th Sep 2011, by AnimalCare
This afternoon, when I came back from work, I definitely heard a soft mewing from somewhere "up there". I looked up, but could not find any cat in distress.I came into the house, and found Bunny beside Bobby, trying to shield him (as usual) from bumping into the furniture as Bobby gets all excited whenever I come back and will bounce all over the house like a puppy, knocking into the walls and the furniture. Bunny and sometimes, Tiger, would be on hand to buffer the bumps by standing in fr...
