Dawn Tan sent this:I stay at the apartments near Ikea. Beside me are the notoriously well-known low-cost flats (Block A, B, C), occupied by mainly malays, indians & foreign workers. Ocassionally, I would help my Malay friend sell burgers at Block C. There are constant cases of residents fr high floors, throwing bags of rubbish at ppl, throwing stones and breaking car windscreen, even throwing scissors which sheared our burger stall's tent. Updates On Wawa (Phoebe Ho's) 14th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
On 16th August, Phoebe Ho, after having contacted me, brought a rescued dog, Wawa, found on the MMR2 Highway. Wawa had a short chain, was incredibly friendly and we suspect she was probably a lost dog (or abandoned?). Ref: http://www.myanimalcare.org/2011/08/wawa -rescued-pup-from-mmr2-highway.html To recap a long story short, Wawa was limping and our vet said it was probably an old fracture. The bone was broken, but the body has a remarkable mechanism that can sometimes self-heal. Ph...

Ref: http://www.myanimalcare.org/2011/10/resc ued-cat-from-walmart.htmlWow...I had no idea the above post could generate so many comments, but thanks, everyone, for sharing your thoughts on this. I noticed that only those who agree on moving your pets with you had posted comments. So, to be fair on both sides, allow me to moderate this issue now....In general, this is AnimalCare's stand on certain controversial issues, which remain controversial as there is no right/wrong in it, just w...

Why I Cannot Adopt The Blueys 13th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
Thank you very much to everyone who has written to me asking me to adopt the Blueys. Many of you cited that I should do so for the sake of Bobby as the Blueys are very close to him and vice versa. I know this, as I'm right here watching them every day, but I cannot adopt the Blueys for many reasons, which I shall attempt to list down here:1. My house is not ideal for raising kittens. My six are free-roaming, a "mistake" made five years ago when I was none the smarter. We thought we wanted t...

The Blueys To The Vet's...for Vaccination 13th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
A few adopters have expressed interest in adopting the Blueys. Thank you for writing in. We (Winnie, Punitha and I) are in the process of vetting all the applications, so your patience is most appreciated. I wanted to get the Blueys vaccinated before handing them over to their new forever family, so off we went to the vet's...The vet said Bagheera was "all muscle". Real solid stuff. Yes, with all the jungle gym activity in the room, she would be!However, Baloo took the injection very well, ...

Happiness Is A Ball! 13th Oct 2011, by AnimalCare
I went to the petstore yesterday to buy accessories and toys for the Blueys. I know collars are not advisable, but they have been giving me a headache every day because they'd be hiding somewhere in the living room and I cannot find them before I go to work! I got two detachable collars, but alas, they were too big. I also got them a ball...They sure had a ball!!

I missed that shot!I really must get a better camera-phone. Are we friends now? Can?Cleo is also very alpha and completely anti-social. Nope, Cleo isn't ready to be friends yet.So, we went out yesterday....to hunt for a better camera-phone. I really need that for all my AnimalCare work. And when we came back....Oh no...Tiger ...
