Today has been an extremely long day for me, and it’s only now that I get to sit down and check my emails. Plenty to respond to, but first, here’s the highlight for the day.
Meiji came down this morning to collect the dogfood donation graciously initiated by Tan Chooi Chooi, managing director of Casa Doggie Store.
First, I took Meiji for breakfast at my favourite veggie restaurant, got her some provisions, and then, it’s off to Casa for the dogfood collection.

Honey’s Story (from HSI) 6th Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Below is a story from Humane Society International. There is no end as to how humans mistreat and abuse animals just because the animals are weaker than us.
Evil is infinite.
But so is kindness.
If there is one purpose who us to be born, it is for us to do as much good as we can for our fellow beings while we are here. What others do, is quite beyond our control.
Speak up against cruelty, but the best form of education is still by example.
Read on, and be inspired…
I’ve seen a lot whil...

Dine Like A Pauper… 5th Dec 2011, by AnimalCare
Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a prince and Dine like a pauper, that’s what they say.
Here’s continuing my “series” on cooking for dummies…
This is my dinner today:
It only took me 8 minutes to wash the veggies in the detoxifier; and about 2 minutes to cook it.
It contains carrot, red capsicum, cauliflower, pumpkin and choy sum, fried with a fistful of boiled millet.
And no animal parts.
Method: Heat oil, dump all the veggies in, stir-fry, then dump the millet i...

Sugar has been discharged today and will be back for suture removal in about 8 days’ time. After that, her TVT treatment will begin. We have also offered to subsidise the TVT treatment, if need be.
The total bill for Sugar’s surgery (amputation and spaying – but it was discovered she had already been previously spayed), inclusive of all the bloodwork requested by her rescuer, Eling, was RM816. We subsidised RM408 and the other half has been settled by Eling.

We will sponsor the spaying of all six.
Here are the photos of all of them.

Good Morning Dr Chan. I really need your help to find a kind person
who would like to adopt one stray female cat who was abandoned by her
previous owner. I have been feeding her for over a year and think she
was already spayed. Yesterday my neighbour threatened to catch and
dump the cat at another place if we leave the cat loitering around the
housing area. I already have 14 cats with 3 dominant male and

Interested, please call Connie Foong on 019-2226609.
Poor fellow…if only there were more no-kill sanctuaries, then at least it could go there if nobody wants to adopt it.
This is the sad life of being born an animal. It doesn’t mat...
