I am a great fan of Calvin & Hobbes. I love Calvin, I love Susie and I love Hobbes!! The comic strip by Bill Watterson is so philosophical and full of truths, but told in a simple and humorous way. I love that style!
And, I have ALL the books, too. Some torn and tattered after years of reading!

Sad End To One Loyal Dog In Penang

Dr Veeranoot wrote to Majid immediately upon receiving my email and sms. I also wrote to Majid with Dr Veeranoot’s contact details. There has been no response at all from Majid. Dr Veeranoot went to check out the university cafeteria yesterday and saw many cats, but no sick cats in sight.

Today’s Ang Paws Furrez – A Fun-Filled Event!

Mary and I set off from my house at 8.30am this morning. We had already loaded all our stuff into her car the day before so we were all ready. Terry, our navigator, came by and off we went, with Terry leading the way on his motorbike!
Here we are…the Kota Damansara Community Forest.
Wow! Never knew there was such a beautiful place here for mountain bikers and hikers!

Here’s our new product for fund-raising!
This product is prepared by my friend, Joseph Foo. He plants the Misai Kucing (“Cats’ Whiskers”) himself so it’s very natural. The drink contains only three ingredients: Misai Kucing, Stevia leaves and lemon.

A First-Time Rescuer In The Making

A young lady, Shalin, called me last night. Shalin knows me as she belongs to the Buddhist youth group whose camps I’ve conducted before.
Shalin picked up a little kitten last night (her very first time) and she did not quite know what to do. The kitten was just lying down and could not walk. Being a first timer, Shalin did not know anything about looking after kittens at all. So I told her the basics – giving glucose water (it was far too late to get kitten milk), no commercial milk...

A Turtle Story

This morning, a lady by the name of Elisabeth called me. Apparently, a turtle (not a tortoise, but a turtle) had crawled into her apartment.
She asked her neighbours and no one claimed ownership of the little reptile though she said someone nearby did keep tortoises.
When she called me, she had put the turtle in a bathtub.
I suggested surrendering the turtle to Zoo Negara, but she said she’d prefer putting the turtle in a temple pond or something like that.

This toy breed dog has been reportedly roaming in Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Kuala Lumpur (TTDI) for weeks and the residents have been trying unsuccessfully to rescue her until yesterday (2 February 2012) when she followed a dog home after his walk.
