The Cat Tree – After 25th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Oops!!
(In all fairness, it isn’t really the cats’ fault. It is already an old tree and I washed it yesterday morning. The cardboard inside must have got soft and it tore easily.)
The good thing with cats is, they do not understand what “broken” means.
What broken? We can still play with it.
Yups, it’s still a good toy!

Please Pray For Bobby, Bull Mastiff-Spitz Cross, Going In For Surgery On Tuesday Morning 25th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
A friend (who has requested anonymity) has a 12 year-old Bull Mastiff-Spitz cross, named Bobby. Bobby has a cancerous tumour on his hind leg which is growing and this friend has opted to let Bobby go in for surgery to have the tumour removed. However, surgery is risky due to age and the nature of the tumour. If the tumour is left as it is, it will not stop growing and cause him to have other organ complications and an open wound which might cause maggot problems, hence, more suffering.
We would ...

From Kedah To Puchong: Blackey, The Sporo-Cat (Sha’s) 25th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Sha (Wan Rozima Mior Ahmed Shahimi) brought Blackey, her sporo-cat, down from Kedah to Puchong last Thursday to continue treatment at the vet’s over here.
The vet in Kedah had told Sha there isn’t much he could do anymore, so without wasting any time, Sha discussed it with us, and we advised her to let the vet in Puchong treat Blackey and give her a chance to recover.
Over in Kedah, there was also a time lapse where Blackey was taken off the medication as per the vet’s treatmen...

Whisper, Former Rescued Stud, Now For Adoption (Bernice Chee’s) 25th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Bernice and Donovan will be migrating soon, and they are taking 3 (out of 4) of their pet cats along. The reason Whisper cannot be taken is that he cannot travel; he gets all stressed and starts choking, as though he cannot breathe, and he pees and poos in the carrier, even in a short car trip to the vet’s. Travelling by air would be out of the question for Whisper. Hence, Bernice is looking for a good home for him.
If you can help, please contact Bernice directly at bernice@chee.com.

Diva Is Re-Adopted!! (this Time, Forever) 25th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
Mary called to say Diva is now adopted by a wonderful couple (who has requested anonymity). The wife, who reads our blog, booked Diva a few minutes after I put up the post two days ago: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/03/24/tabs-play s-with-diva/ when the first adopter said she would be returning Diva since the little one was bullied by her cat.
Mary drove Diva to the couple’s house this morning and was so happy to find a heavenly home for cats. Every single one of their cats is pampered wi...

We received this appeal this evening and have pledged to subsidise a maximum of 50% of the cost up to a maximum amount of RM500. I have also advised Nur Zulianas that she could apply to SCRATCH and PetFinder.my and if two funds assist, she may be able to get a maximum of 60% subsidy (subject to a maximum of RM1000), jointly from two funds.
In accordance with our Multiple Fund Policy (http://myanimalcare.org/subsidy/):

Mr G coming for supper is a daily affair now.
But this evening, it’s more than just wanting supper.
Mr G now wants to come INTO Bunny’s Place!
This means Mr G is here.
This evening, Mr G had homecooked food and as you can see, he polished it all up.
I’m able to get so close to him now.
See?
This is Round Two (Go! kibbles).
Chief of Staff wants to be friends.
Everyone wants to be friends, really, but Bunny let out his war-cry again today…sigh.

Tabs Plays With Diva! 24th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
This evening, Mary brought Diva for a visit.
As you know, Diva was returned by her adopter because the adopter’s cat bullied Diva. Yesterday, we publicised Diva for re-adoption and as of last night, one of our readers has already “booked” Diva and Mary will be bringing Diva to her house tomorrow morning. We hope all goes well.
Indy heads the welcoming committee this time.
Aww…she’s smaller than what she looks like in her photos.

I’m Happy With Magic Litter (Day Two) 24th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
If you remember, I was given a pack of Magic Litter to try two days ago.
Website: http://avideco.com.my/magic_litt er.html
I couldn’t imagine not being able to scoop used litter so I thought I would never be able to like it, but after two days, I actually do!
Based on my experience, this is how it works: The cat pees onto it, it becomes wet and it does stick to the bottom of the box. If you notice it, you can scoop it up to throw, but if you dont and you leave it there for a while (a f...

Are You A “barefoot” Animal-Fosterer? 24th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
You probably are, and I salute you.
This is a MUST (100x) see: http://www.sadroo.com/0089.php (please watch until the end, it’s very, very inspiring and will revolutionise how we look at people and what they are capable of achieving). I’ve watched it twice, and I’m still in awe.
I love how Bunker Roy defines a “professional” – someone who has competence, confidence and belief, and you get there through the dignity of labour, hands-on. And you don’t n...

Bunny The Dogherd 24th Mar 2012, by AnimalCare
I didn’t manage to take a video of this, but it was just so, so cute…
Bobby was banging his head on the grille, trying to get out and the cats didn’t quite know what to do.
Until, Bunny came to the rescue.
He went in front of Bobby, placed his ample-sized body between Bobby and the grille so that Bobby would bang into his body instead and then, he butted Bobby with his head until Bobby backed away from the grille…to safety.
Gosh, it was so cute, it reminded me of the d...
