Wesak Eve At The SJBA – The Kuehs Sold Out!

We started our booth at about 7.15pm – that’s Winnie, Me, Szetoo Weiwen and her husband, George.

A young girl came by and looked at the books. George said she could take any book she liked. She looked a bit shy, ran off to her mother, asked something, and happily ran back and asked if she could take a copy of Pawprints, with her mum accompanying her. Wesak Booth – We’ll Be Selling Food As Well!

This is my mum (on the right, in the AnimalCare tshirt) and her friend, Aunty Mah.
They are contributing goodies for our Wesak sale tonight. Home-made and fresh from the oven…
It’s “Ang Koo”, made from sweet potato, no preservatives, no colouring. The filling is pea.
And vegetarian “Siew Pow”; the filling is turnip, mushroom, etc.

Baggy’s 5th Day….and Baggy Eats With Tabs!

I got up at 5am this morning, and Baggy went out to pee. I have not seen her poo, but judging from her agility, I think she must have poo-ed without my knowledge. I did see her in the common litter box.

This is the case of the 7 puppies who came down with distemper after vaccination. Two were serious and put on drips. One passed away. The rest of the puppies survived. The mother also came down with distemper but Kelly fed her aloe vera and she survived.
We have subsidised the medical treatment for 2 puppies who were down with distemper and the vaccination of all 7 puppies. The total subsidy is RM275.

Baggy’s 4th Day

I still slept on the bench last night, waking up a few times to check on Baggy. She was okay through the night.
This morning, she had breakfast on her own while the rest at theirs at the pantry.
As usual, Tabs was playing one of her wild games outside after breakfast, dashing back and forth the entire length of the garden.

The King Of Spain Apologises To His Country For Taking Part In An Elephant Hunt

Humans make mistakes sometimes, because we are largely ignorant. But when someone points it out to us, and we are willing to apologise for it and change, that’s when we step onto the road to improvement.
According to a report from Care2, the King of Spain, Don Carlos 1, recently took part in an elephant hunt in Botswana. He came under fire for participating in such an event, and he has since apologised to his nation (hopefully he won’t do it again!).

A Soi Dog supporter found this 4 month old puppy in Phuket, guarding her mother’s corpse. Pammi refused to go anywhere (her mother had died three or four days previously). Someone had buried Pammi’s mother at a nearby tree, but Pammi was still refusing to move. Baggy had been hissing at everyone all morning. Everyone tried to be friendly, but the poor girl was not ready yet.

Poor Tabs wants so much to play, but Baggy keeps hissing at her.
