I teach piano at her place and she showed me your books. The first one I picked up was “do we have a choice?”. It was easy to read and i was interested bec...

The Case Of The Bull Terrier And The Unfortunate Death Of An Elderly Jogger
10th May 2012, by AnimalCare

I have not written anything about this case ever since I heard about it on the morning of 8th May when it happened because I did not know enough information to pass any comment. There were also too many uncertainties in this case as there were no eye-witnesses to relate what happened before the dog attacked the jogger. Even when Wani asked me for a comment yesterday for her article in The Star, I felt I did not know enough to give any constructive or useful statement. Firstly, AnimalCare does no...

Thank You, Malay Mail (but We Do Not Subsidise Grooming)
10th May 2012, by AnimalCare

A journalist from the Malay Mail contacted me sometime last month. He was interested in doing an article on our work. So, I was told to provide a write-up on our work, which I did. His write-up was published today, and we’d like to thank the journalist very much for publicising our work. However, for the benefit of all who have read the article, I wish to clarify here that there is a minor error in Paragraph 2, Line 2 – we do NOT subsidise grooming. No where in my write-up did I say ...

Baby Mayo Is Doing Fine (from Bernice And Donovan)
9th May 2012, by AnimalCare

Here are some updates from Bernice: Baby Mayo is doing ok. He/she is really feisty for a kitten that does not drink a lot of milk. Mayo will just suckle the bottle for a few seconds at a time and then kick and cry, so i do many small feeds. Mayo is also hard to put down to sleep, and i have to hold him/her on my chest and walk around until sleep comes. Sorta like a human child Mayo has fleas as well and i have applied frontline. Little one is walking around at the moment….:) And Donovan:...

In Loving Memory Of Blackey (from Sha, Her Caregiver)
9th May 2012, by AnimalCare

Blackey passed away suddenly yesterday, while undergoing treatment at the vet’s. We extend our deepest condolences to Sha and hope she will be comforted that Blackey’s suffering is now over and that she is in a better place. When death happens, the deceased’s suffering is over. And ours begin. Here’s when we have to give ourselves time to grieve, to accept the reality, to heal and to move on. All this takes time, and there is no point urging a grieving person to let go wh...
