Pole Wins Paws Down!

Today is Day 4 of Operation Pilling Pole and I am waving the white flag now.
Yes, I lost and Pole wins without a doubt.
I only succeeded in making her eat the medicine-laced wetfood for one round. After that, she did not fall for the trick anymore. Not at all.
She refused to eat.
So the ground medicine (of powder that is SO fine and SO little) would be mixed with the wetfood from morning till night. Well, yes, bit by bit, I managed to feed it all. Or almost all, but it took great perseverance ...

Here are some updates from Imm’s Shelter, from Ipoh:
The Shelter has improved a lot during the past year. The cats and dogs are able to receive a lot more attention. Thanks to the volunteers in Ipoh who come to the shelter to give the dogs baths and help clean the cats. The sick ones are taken to the vets and those that need further care and attention are fostered by our Ipoh volunteers in their homes. This year we managed to vaccinate most of the dogs. All afternoon, Pole kept calling from the grille. Each time I go in, she would lead me to the pantry either to ask for food or to ask for something.
Finally, by evening, she called again and this time she wanted to show me something.
She led me to the litter-box and squatted in the ready-to-pee position.
I held my breath and didn’t dare more a muscle.

We have subsidised RM160 for neutering of the two male cats of Ms Celine Loh’s and RM100 for the spaying of the mother-cat of Ms Looi’s. Many thanks to Agnes Cheong for promoting CNRM widely and effectively.

At about 11.30am, Pole came to the grille and mewed. I went in and she led me to the pantry with those eyes that say, “I’m hungry”. A thought came to me. Pole, The Pilling Nightmare

Pole and Cleo had always been pilling nightmares since they were young. Why, I cannot even pop in a dewormer and have to take them to the vet’s for that purpose. You can’t crush the pill and put in the food, because they (in fact, all of our cats) will smell it out and eat everything except the parts that contain the bits of the crushed pill.
