Visitors For Baggy 13th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
This afternoon, Agnes and Sumitra came over to visit Baggy. Sumitra brought liquid spirulina for Baggy. Her cats have been taking this spirulina with good results for general health.
Aunty Agnes (in yellow) and Aunty Sumitra (in blue) visited me today.
Of course Tabs was the perfect hostess, as usual, so she got a cuddle as well.
A comfy cuddle from Aunty Agnes.
This is the liquid spirulina.
Tabs was interested…at this new thing.
But Baggy didn’t want to lick it (it̵...

Show Time For Baggy! 13th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
This morning Baggy greeted me together with the rest of the brood. Breakfast is a bit of a challenge now because everybody is hungry and everyone cannot wait (including Baggy!). But Baggy’s food has to be specially mixed and I have to monitor Baggy eating so that there is no sharing and that no one else eats from Baggy’s bowl.
Good morning, Pink Nose!
Baggy decided to join the rest for breakfast at the pantry. As you can see, Cleo and Pole are not there. This is always the case...

Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2012/08/08/what-an-a ngel-updates-from-thean-kim-sim/
Just a few days ago, we were rejoicing over Angel’s good fortune at being rescued, treated and adopted very quickly, but two days ago, Kim Sim sent this unexpected news:
Dr Chan,
So sad to inform you that Angel died early this morning. The owner saw him not too well yesterday night, not eating but drinking only. So, she intended to bring him to the vet today after work….but when she checked on him t...

Baggy Leads The Way At Dinnertime! 12th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
It was dinner time, and Baggy would be fed first…
Hi Baggy, here’s your food. Eat some?
Sniff, sniff, yum yum…slowly, bit by bit.
I finished!!
Wow! Good girl, Baggy ate up everything on her own without being hand-fed at all.
For the next round, I took a long shot and mixed the Transfer Factor together with her second helping, and she ate it all up…all my herself! I guess the TF is quite palatable since Maslinda said it tasted like milk. This is the first time I...

Baggy’s Breakfast 12th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Baggy greeted me happily with the rest of the gang this morning. She was hungry and was waiting for breakfast!
Yum yum…a hearty meal of home-cooked food plus mashed liver.
Baggy ate quite a bit all by herself and I hand-fed her a bit more, along with her medicines.
Baggy Pink Nose, Baggy Pink Nose!
We’re waiting for her vet to call so that we can go get the next EPO jab today.

Baggy, The Pink-Nosed Kitty…. 11th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Baggy spent the morning under her table, soaking in as much sunshine as she could.
As it got hotter, she came into the room.
By mid-day, the hungry gang (led by Bunny, usually) asked for food, and since I’m trying desperately to cut down their multiple feedings into 2-3 times per day, I just gave them some kibbles. Baggy was surprisingly interested in having some too (I could tell from her body language).
She ate half of it, which is good. At least she has her appetite again.
About an h...

Baggy Eats Breakfast…then Licks The Rocks 11th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
I stayed up till almost 2am with Baggy last night. She “seemed” much better late last night so I thought I should monitor to see if there were any positive significant visible changes in her. At the same time, I was also surfing the net for more natural remedies and I thank Connie and Lydia for staying up and helping me surf for information.
Baggy decided to jump off the prima donna drawer and hang out with Uncle Bobby instead.
For the first time after so many days, I see her d...

Can Aloe Vera Gel Be Given To Cats? 11th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Connie and I have been exchanging emails on this. A friend from Ipoh also is trying to find out if cats can be given aloe vera. Kelly Tan swears by aloe vera, which has miraculously cured many of her distemper dogs. She uses a certain bottled aloe vera, not the raw plant.
We’ve looked at many links, some testifying to the efficacy of aloe vera for dogs and cats, but urging caution in using it, especially for cats.
A friend says aloe vera is recommended by human leukemia patients.
Meanwhile...

This evening, after buka puasa, Maslinda was so kind to drive all the way to give me some Transfer Factor capsules for Baggy.
The TF capsules, to be mixed with AD.
I fed Baggy one capsule about an hour ago. I opened the capsule and mixed it with AD. Gave it to Baggy in three mouthfuls. She ate it all up.
