Trusting The Universe To Provide The Answers 22nd Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
This afternoon, after the great news over Baggy’s wonderful improvement, there were many decisions to be made again. What medication plan should Baggy follow after this? What do we continue doing? What should be tapered off? Do I still need to monitor Baggy for a few more days, or should we just continue as planned?
Questions, questions and more questions which beg answers. It called for rational thinking, weighing all the pros and cons objectively, but it also called for gut feeling and t...

Message:
Hi Dr. Chan,
I found this puppy at Mid valley today. This poor girl was wandering
aimlessly, following people around. I was worried that she might get
hit by a car there due to the heavy traffic. So, I have decided to
bring her home but I cannot keep her for long as I already have so
many pets. I would like to appeal for a fosterer/adopter. Hopefully
someone can help me out. She is a timid little girl, with a very good
temperament.
Thank you.

Baggy Tipped The Scales And Her PCV Improves!!! 22nd Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
I got home from work today and as I was driving Baggy to the vet’s for her last EPO jab, I wondered, “Baggy, will you just tip the scales a wee bit for me today? Maybe just 50g?”
Each time when we were at the vet’s for a jab, my heart would stop for awhile as I put her on the weighing scale. As long as her weight doesn’t drop further, that’s really good enough. Her weight had not dropped for the last 3 times.
So, as usual, I put her on the weighing scale upon ...

Scratching On The Fishpad 22nd Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Baggy had breakfast this morning and all is well.
Last night, she stayed in the drawer all the time.
I’ve noticed that since she became unwell, she would only urinate once a day (and it would be A LOT of urine). I can’t help feeling that she knows I’m monitoring the litter boxes to clean it up immediately after she has used it, so she doesn’t want to “trouble me”. I could be wrong in this, though. Here’s where I hope going to Andy’s will free he...

Baggy Eats A Home-Cooked Meal 21st Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Bunny made an early dinner call today and everyone came for food.
Baggy had been sleeping in the drawer all afternoon because of the rain.
But when Bunny called for food, Baggy sat up, so I tried giving her some home-cooked food.
Yum, yum…home-cooked food is in season again.
And she licked the platter clean after several helpings.
We finished off with Fancy Feast!

Preparing For Baggy’s Trip Home 21st Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
Tomorrow, Baggy will be going home to Andy and Emily’s place.
This morning, I ate TWO cans of Fancy Feast!
I’m praying that Baggy’s appetite will be maintained and maybe, as Hippocrates says, “Let Food be thy Medicine and Medicine be thy Food” will be the miracle “cure” that we are looking for Baggy.
It rained again this morning, and after the rain, Baggy quickly went out from the room.
Pretty, pretty Baggy!
I shall certainly miss little Baggy, ...

The Next Step For Baggy…a Quiet Place To Recuperate 20th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
When the vet first diagnosed Baggy as being FeLV+ and seeing her anaemic state at the time, I was given the impression that there was no hope for her to survive. Almost two weeks have passed since that day, and Baggy seems to have somewhat stabilised and has been eating very well, which is all very good. My gut feeling tells me that her body is able to cope with her condition and she may even gradually and steadily improve, especially since her appetite is still good.
Now that her condition is...

The Tabitha Jane Show – Live! 19th Aug 2012, by AnimalCare
When we first moved in and failed to cat-proof (or rather, Pole-proof) Bunny’s Place, Pole used to make repeated escapes and whenever these happened, everyone else (meaning, all the cats) would watch “the show”.
Even after we finally successfully (hopefully!) Pole-proofed the place, Pole would sometimes make attempts at escaping and everyone would stop whatever they were doing and watch the show.
You’ve got to face it, it’s entertainment for them.
Everyone enjoyed t...
