Good Morning, Ginger
11th Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

At midnight last night, there was an “episode” at the gate. I heard the sound of cat growling. Armed with the water-gun, I went out to check. It was Mr Quack inside our gate, growling at and preventing poor Mr G from coming into our compound. Mr Quack thinks he owns our compound? No, this cannot be established, so it was the water-gun to the rescue and both cats ran away. Looks like Mr Quack is a bit of a tyrant and is very territorial, isn’t he? I hope he learns to live peacef...

Ginger To The Vet And Back Home Now
10th Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

In between a very hectic day, I managed to find time to take Ginger to the vet today. Well, actually, to two vets, but the wait was too long at the first, so we went to the second one.  On the way to the second vet. We had a mild orchestra on board. Mild…compared to the Bunnyphant’s.  Don Don greeting Ginger. One look at the wound and the vet said it was definitely a bite wound (by another cat – Quack?). No doubt about it at all. The vet even showed me all the classic spot...

Ginger Is Injured…but Is Incredibly Smart
9th Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

Early this morning, Francis and Mukda informed us that Ginger had been injured. I rushed out to see and Ginger was around, but was limping. There was no bleeding and it did not look life-threatening. Francis didn’t think a visit to the vet was necessary as he said he had seen many such cases that recover on its own after a few days. But I was keen to have a vet examined him so Francis managed to catch him and brought him into my house compound, but the moment he saw the carrier, he fled to...

Daffodil Visits…with Quack!
8th Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

Early this morning, I went out to look for Daffodil.  Here she is, with Rosie at the back and who’s this?  Hey, this is QUACK!  Yes, the quacking cat who came looking for Daffodil when she was caged after being spayed – that’s him! He’s also the one who came into our porch last night.  Of course our first assumption is that Quack would be one of Daffodil’s many partners through her ten years of procreating, but wait…Quack could also be Daffodil̵...

7th Dec 2012, by AnimalCare

The day started with breakfast for everyone. Everyone had Natural Balance topped with raw meat. Well, everyone except… …the blood-drinking cat. Today was his liver day (restricted to once a week now due to pseudo-Vampire behaviour). Slurp, slurp….heh heh.  Daffodil had a feast today – Natural Balance and raw meat topped with wheatgrass (like that the inside brood had). Her faeces was good this morning.  I’m watching your every move…  Rosie and Ginger ca...
