What Is “EM”? 31st Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
A friend gave me this concoction of effective microorganisms (EM) yesterday. It’s like garbage enzyme in that you mix it with water, but here’s what attracted me to the concoction – it’s supposed to be super effective in getting rid of odours, especially pet urine odours!
Of course I must try it.
My garbage enzyme has not been very effective in doing the job…
The result:
INCREASED massive spraying!
But wait, this is NOT necessarily a bad thing.

Mr Low And His North Port Dogs – Help Needed 30th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
We are currently seeking sponsors to top up the balance of the bill for Mr Low to get as many North Port dogs as possible neutered. Last year, we arranged for a vet to go up there to neuter the dogs, but the place is a barren piece of land and there was no proper place to carry out the neutering surgeries.
Mr Low does not have the funds to top up the balance of the bill, especially when he requires boarding facilities for the dogs after the surgery. He cannot release them until they have fully r...

Dear friends,
Quietly, globally, billions of bees are dying, threatening our crops and food. But in 48 hours the European Union could move to ban the most poisonous pesticides, and pave the way to a global ban that would save bees...

New Food Ideas For The Brood, Inside And Outside 28th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
Wheatgrass in a tray outside in the pantry for them to chew on by themselves.
So far, only Bunny was “caught” on CCTV chewing on the grass.
By the way, this is just ordinary soil and the wheatgrass is thriving like crazy (big fat leaves!).
The serai is dying, after being continuously attacked by Cow and Bunny!
This is steamed sardines (from the market), with freshly cut wheatgrass.
With just RM3 worth of sardine fish, I can feed everyone, inside and outside, and they all love i...

Activity On The Ledge! 28th Jan 2013, by AnimalCare
A lot has been happening on the ledge lately.

A few days ago, I saw a tabby (I highly suspect it is Starry) humping on the bushy calico…on the ledge! I shoo-ed them but the tabby wouldn’t budge, so I had to spray water to break them up. Then, I quickly emailed Mr G’s owner to ask if the bushy calico is hers and if so, to get her spayed since it look...
