The “talking Dog” In Bulgaria 13th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
A heartwarming story: http://www.care2.com/causes/speaking-dog-c ant-stop-talking-to-his-rescuers.html
An excerpt:
Native Bulgarian Antoni Banev was driving through traffic in the city of Sofia recently when he heard the sound, the familiar yelp of another street dog being mowed over by someone in too much of a hurry to slow down and too short on compassion to turn back. One car after another drove over or around the dog left lying in the road, but Antoni is wired differently. He dashed out of...

Does Timmy Look Like A Calf, A Goat Or A Deer? 13th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
I think you remember how Timmy came to our neighbourhood a few months ago? I suspect he was abandoned as I found him crying (meowing) right in the middle of the road, right in front of my gate. I started feeding him and named him “Timmy” after the legendary Timothy Dalton!
Soon, Timmy hung around at the playground and made the blue dustbins his home. Sometimes, he scavenged for rubbish and could be seen carrying a packet of food from blue dustbin to blue dustbin.
Now, his blue dustbi...

No More “Corner Of The Great Escape”…for Now 12th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
Today, the contractor had some free time to come install back the two shelves for us. He needed his power drill which he hadn’t brought along the last time.
We couldn’t quite decide where to put the two shelves. It would such a waste to discard them as it’s cengal wood – very hardy and lasting.
We thought of “trying” out the former spots but lower. However, on second thoughts, better not risk that. There is no telling what Spider-Cat is capable of doing.

A Dam Story Which Just Has To Be Shared! 11th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare

My cousin sent this.
The first letter was (from 4 years ago) sent to a man named Ryan DeVries regarding a pond on his property. It was sent by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Quality, State of Pennsylvania. This guy’s response was hilari...

Rulers Who Made A Difference 10th Apr 2013, by AnimalCare
While it’s true that we, the ordinary people at the grassroots must do our part in helping animals and this means each one of us, there are still things which will reach a dead-end unless certain laws are changed and in its place, kinder laws are implemented and enforced.
For example, each time we meet with any politician over animal welfare issues, we only have ONE request: Please spare our ear-notched animals. The answer has always either been a “No” or a “We’ll l...
