Family Dog Saves Abandoned Newborn (human) Baby!

A 2-year-old dog in Thailand saved the life of an abandoned baby on Monday. The male dog found a plastic bag with a newborn baby girl inside and carried the infant back home, according to the Bangkok Post. What a great relief! I had been so worried about Miracle undergoing surgery today. From the photos, it sure looked like Miracle is a bit too young or maybe even too weak to undergo surgery. Also, we suggested that Nur Adlina get a second opinion to see if Miracle’s eyes could be saved.
One thing at a time then. Let’s hope for the best for Miracle.

Timmy And Mr Shrew

Timmy either has very strong hunting instincts and is incredibly greedy. We cannot decide which is which, though. I think he has caught at least 2 birds so far, we saw him throwing a snake into the air and we don’t know if he was responsible for bringing in the other (dead) snakes and he also chases the shrews who come into our garden.

Do you remember Maslina Omar? She is the rescuer of Obot, the cat with sporotrichosis and pyometra who is now doing well. We subsidised RM1000 for Obot’s treatment.
Maslina looks after many cats in Chini. Her sick cats are brought to Kuantan to seek medical treatment from the vet there as there are no nearer vets. According to Maslina, the trip to Kuantan is 2 hours by road.
