The chronicles of Mr Zurik continues as he becomes a regular guest at the patio…
The morning started with Mr Zurik and Vincent locking horns at the patio and the rest looking on. I had to break them up by offerings of food to all parties.
Daffodil finished her meal quickly and went into the house for safety.
Mr G remained on high ground. After all, he only comes to socialise.

As long as the Patio Family is around and what’s more, now with Mr Zurik coming regularly, Indy will not be happy.
Well, he’ll just have to learn that life isn’t perfect and in time, he will have to accept that there are some thing that we cannot change.

Little Things Matter So Much

Er…what Do You Actually Want, Mr Zurik?

His 10-day course of antibiotics is finished.
We (kind of) found out that he has a “home” to return to. It’s one of the houses up our road. Each time, when he departs from our house after a meal, he goes back to this house up the road. So, maybe he is a pet there, or he just resides there?
Mr Zurik is welcomed for meals, but we hope he will not growl at everyone. He also frightens Willy, but Willy is also frightened by the shrews, so…

Whitey is a rescued dog from Selayang (jointly rescued by Vedrana Lukacevic and Yap Mei Han) and we sponsored his TVT treatment and neutering. Upon recovery, Whitey was sent to a shelter in Ipoh, but was found to have fits and was losing weight. Mei Han will be bringing Whitey back here for treatment....

“I’ll Always Watch Over You” (from Daffodil To Ginger)

Daffodil is the epitome of a loving mum. Here are some photos taken over 2 days to show her devotion towards Ginger (whom we think is her youngest surviving child). According to Mukda, who has been feeding her for the last 10 years (unspayed), Daffodil gives birth every few months and is often seen carrying her kittens all over the neighbourhood. Some of her kitten have been run over by cars, some died. Looks like Rosie and Ginger are her only family left now.

Medical Subsidy For Boy Boy, Community Dog In Ipoh (Lee Chew Keang’s)

The total bill for this case is RM333, but Ms Lee says she will pay for the RM150 heartworm prevention treatment, so this leaves RM183 comprising of medication, sedation and injections. We have subsidised RM91.50, which is 50%. This subsidy comes from all donors through our Medical Fund (RM41.50) and Berjaya Cares (RM50).
