Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2013/08/05/updates-o n-polkadot-rescued-cat-she-has-pulled-through-the- night-marina-mustaphas/
Here are the latest updates from Marina. We request your prayers and good wishes for Polkadot’s recovery. She is fighting an uphill battle, but she is a strong cat. Usually, from our experience, animals will fight on to get well if they know their human wants them to get well. So, let us cheer her on, shall we? (and Marina can tell her when she next visits!)

Patchwork Blankets In Progress 5th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
I stopped by my parent’s house after work today, and my mum showed me how much she has done on the next blanket. For those who missed the earlier posts, this is our latest merchandise for fundraising – handsewn patchwork blankets, done by my mother who is 80 years old (but has better eyesight than me!).
I like doing patchwork too, but not as a hobby, though, so since I was already there, I might as well make myself useful.
Needle and thread, mum?
My mum insists on using the finest (...

Searching For Willy 5th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
The morning began with feeding Bunny & Friends.
Then, onwards to the patio….
Everyone, including Mr Zurik and Heidi were waiting for me. The moment I opened the patio door, Heidi walked straight in and marched into the kitchen for her “porridge meal”. The matriarch is a diva.
Mr Zurik is very smart; now he jumps onto the top (roof) of the cage and demands to be fed there (so that I won’t get to feed him in the cage and he gets caged as a result of it). If Willy is ...

8th Update: Whitey’s Happy Ending (from Yap Mei Han) 4th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2013/07/31/7th-update-whit ey-from-vedrana-lukecevic/
We are really happy for Whitey and his rescuers! This is a happy ending to Whitey’s story, or should we say, a happy “beginning”?
We wish Whitey a wonderful life in his new home.
It is always an occasion for great rejoicing and celebration when a street animal is taken off the street, a sick animal is treated and eventually finds a loving home.
One life at a time, we carry on…for the animal...

The Playground And Roads Are All Clear (no Sign Of Willy) 4th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
It’s 7pm now and I must have been out many times by now. I scoured the playground, walked down to Willy’s “house” (there is no sign of any occupants so I think my part-time cleaner’s information could be wrong), asked the chief security guard – no Willy and no news about him.
I have even sent out an email alert to the whole neighbourhood with photos of Willy, but as expected and as usual, nobody responds to emails about animals (lost or found, or anything at a...

Still No Sign Of Willy Anywhere 4th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Ref: http://myanimalcare.org/2013/08/04/willy-whe re-are-you/
I continued looking for Willy but could not find him anywhere.
Then, as I was thinking back, it dawned on me that maybe, just maybe, his owner had taken him back again.
How is that so?
I don’t know if you remember, but I first spotted Willy and Vincent together. Both had come into the patio, but Vincent managed to stay while Willy ran away. That was the day a neighbour moved out. I guessed they left Vincent and Willy behind, so...

Polkadot, Rescued Cat, In Need Of Medical Help (Marina Mustapha’s) 4th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
We received this request a few minutes ago, from Marina Mustapha. Marina is asking for a full sponsorship for this cat’s medical treatment. We have explained that we can only provide our medical subsidy as per policy and have advised Marina to:
1. Also apply to PetFinder.my and we could work together with them on a bigger subsidy if they are agreeable to it.
2. Apply to other organisations that can give her a full subsidy.
We truly appreciate Marina’s efforts but we apologise that we...

Willy, Where Are You? 4th Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Willy did not come for breakfast today.
Everyone was here, except Willy and Mr Zurik.
I waited at his breakfast spot and looked in the playground but he was nowhere to be seen.
Yesterday evening, when my husband came back at 3.30pm, he said Willy was waiting at his spot outside our house, so he fed Willy some kibbles. That was the last we saw of him.
The council grass-cutters have been here for the last few days to cut the grass, so I can only guess that he may have been frightened by them, but ...

Oh No, Tabs!! What Did You Do?!! 3rd Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
Ever since Connie painstakingly grew these four pots of catnip for me, I’ve been taking really, really good care of them, waiting for the day when I can harvest them and let the cats enjoy them. I even make sure I don’t over-water, knowing that the roots cannot take too much water.
This afternoon, we were watching TV and Tabs asked to come out. We let her out and she had a free roam of the whole house.
It was only in the evening that we went into the kitchen and found that Tabs had ...

The Simple Joys Of The Patio Family 3rd Aug 2013, by AnimalCare
I seldom get the privilege of spending an entire day at home, so to have a whole day home without having to go to work or going out to give public talks is a luxury.
It is a luxury because I get to see what the cats do!
Mother and son playing on the box.
Timmy enjoying a snooze.
Heidi at her favourite window sill spot.
Mother gives up box for son.
The inside cats envying Ginger on his box.
Well, they get boxes too, but they pee on them!
A favourite night spot for the family of three.
