Willy Returns, Snow White Visits And Mr Zurik Escapes!!

There are three stories in this post.
Where should I start?
The first part is about Willy but there are no photos for Part 1 of this story as I wasn’t carrying my phone/camera and protecting him from Mr Zurik was definitely more important than running back for my phone. But I wish I had my camera as their antics were really cute!

The Orange Bricks

During the four days that Willy went missing in action, I would go out of the house at every half hour interval to look for him and each time, I would hope I’d see him at three possible spots – near the fire hydrant, at the steps or at my culvert.
The first spot I’d look would be my culvert, then the fire hydrant and as I looked in that direction, I would see this and there would be a spark in my heart…

Patchwork Blanket – The Online Bidding Begins!!

My mum has finished the first patchwork blanket for our experimental online bidding system!
Here is how it works:
1. Six readers have “ordered” the blanket so they will be informed first, in chronological order, and given the opportunity to make the first bid. Yoghurt For Willy

A friend came to visit and saw Willy’s buttocks. She said her cat had the same problem and the vet advised her to give Nestle’s unflavoured yoghurt. Her cat healed and the faeces was “nice” again. Only use Nestle’s, the vet had said, as it seemed to work.
So I thought I’d try since it was recommended by the vet.
I went to several convenience stores and they did not carry the unflavoured ones.
So I had to go to the hypermart.

Mr G’s Friend Comes Over

I guess Mr G’s owner also left Snow White to roam freely while the family balik kampung for Hari Raya.
My daughter, Ming-Yi, says Snow White has been going into her room to explore. And I have seen Snow White these past few days too.

If You Have Cats And Extra Wirenetting….

This is what you can do….
Make a wirenet cushion for them. Our cats LOVE it!
This is another case of serendipity (an accidental discovery). We actually rolled up the wirenetting and left them around as “tunnels” for them to play with, but that didn’t last.
Then,the cats flattened them and turned them a cushiony “hammock” of sorts.
It is springy and cushiony. Tabs loves it!

Peace At The Playground

I fed Willy at the playground today. More and more, I am inclined to believe that he lives on the road perpendicular to mine and that is why he is often seen in this particular section of the playground. You know how cats have a certain territory and they normally do not wander beyond their boundaries.
So I sat with Willy as he ate. No worries about Mr Zurik coming because while Willy was eating, Mr Zurik was in the cage at the patio (I released him after Willy finished his meal).

So, it looks like everything’s back to normal.
And oh, I must apologise for the codename “Agent Orange” as I could not for the life of me (at the time, this morning in my exhilaration) recall whether it is the name of a deadly chemical weapon in Vietnam OR the name of a food colouring (which I now remember is “Tartrazine”), so I just went with the name.

So there I was cycling on my pink bicycle, doing my fourth round when suddenly, one of the walkers excitedly waved at me and pointed towards an orange object at the playground which looked suspiciously like a….cat!

Repainting Pole’s Condo

The bottom half of Pole’s condo is quite badly rusted – thanks to Indy, Bunny and Cow’s constant spraying.
I’ve been wanting to remove the rust and repaint it so that it would at least last a bit longer.
Today seems as good a day as any to do it, what with the reasonably strong sun and all.
I’d already scraped off some of the rust two days ago. But guess I did not do such a good job.
Quality control supervisors kept a keen eye on the job in progress.
