Ginger Is Back!!!!
15th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

It happened about 10 minutes ago. Ginger came back from the neighbour’s roof! I was calling for him from upstairs when I suddenly saw him coming towards Daffodil (Daffodil was still sitting on the ledge). I quickly brought some food. Ginger was not interested at all. Daffodil came down to eat. Ginger remained on the neighbour’s roof. He didn’t seemed hungry at all. And the strangest thing is that he did not jump onto the rubbish compartment top (which he always, always does), ...

Ginger Is Missing
15th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

Updates at 10.16pm – I have contacted three communicators. One said to try foodstalls and construction areas. Just came home from searching all possible nearby areas that fit this description. We drove around and went on foot with torchlights. We could not find Ginger. This morning, Ginger was sitting on the patio chair, but he did not want to eat. I thought he might be ill, so I caged him, with the intention of taking him to the vet’s when it opens at 10am. But after about an hour...

15th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

Cindy Lim shared this: http://www.treehugger.com/easy-vegetarian-r ecipes/25-vegetarian-recipes-you-can-cook-under-30 -minutes.html Cats are biologically carnivorous, dogs are almost-carnivorous, but many dinosaurs were vegetarians (like this cute little brontosaurus here) and humans, well – you have a choice (your teeth structure and the length of your intestines is a big hint!). Have a happy veggie meal and rejoice in your act of kindness!

Vegetarian Chow Mein….in 10 Minutes Flat!
14th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

Having two pilots in the family requires one to be innovative in preparing quick meals. You won’t know exactly what time the pilots will be back, so you have to be able to prepare quick yet nutritious meals. Here’s what I prepared today, in 10 minutes flat, when my son got home from work today. Method: 1. Boil the noodles in water while you chop up all the vegetables you want to add into the noodles. I used: carrot, pumpkin, red capsicum, beetroot, leek, cauliflower and lettuce (...

Bunny Goes To The Vet’s (for His Balding Problem)
14th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

It’s been months and I’ve been delaying this trip to the vet’s as I thought it’s nothing that serious – Bunny’s balding. Initially, I thought he was just moulting, so I left it as it was. But the balding continued, slowly but surely. Today, I thought I’d better get the vet to check. I had earlier checked out the subject of balding cats over the internet. Most websites said it could be due to one of the following: (a) flea-related dermatitis, (b) a fungus...

A Sharing From A Long-Time Cat Rescuer And Feeder
13th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

Recently, one of our readers lost a cat to FIP. We know FIP is usually terminal; it’s not easy at all to cope with such cases. We race against time, we try everything possible, and yet, the animal dies. In such times of loss, we would just have to take comfort in our faith and beliefs and in knowing that as long as we have tried our best, that’s all that matters. Here is her sharing; I’ve encountered many cats, not all are my rescues.but i fostered them, give them meals..try t...

Tabs’ Daring Midnight Escapade…into Willy’s Territory!
13th Dec 2013, by AnimalCare

What exactly led to Tabs’ desperate escape into Willy’s playground just now and caused us another near heart-attack? Well, to understand, we have to start from this morning (I mean, yesterday morning as it’s past midnight now)… There was a war-cry in the garden this morning. It was Indy turning on Cow. Why have you been bullying my friend, Tabs? Before Indy turned insane (it sure looked that way), I stepped in and broke up the escalating aggression. Indy went away. Ti...
