Sometimes, we get really lucky and miracles happen!
This elderly male cat was rescued by a client of Bandar Puteri Vet and she brought the cat to the clinic. The cat was found to have an irreversible nerve problem in his front leg which required amputation in order to save his life. But the cat was old (practically had no more teeth) and it would be very hard to find a home for him.

Spaying Subsidy For 1 Female Cat (Hew Sook Yean’s)

We have subsidised RM100 for the spaying of this female cat, found abandoned at the market. She is a Persian cross. This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM40) and Berjaya Cares (RM60).
We also encouraged Sook Yean to get the cat rehomed as her chances of being adopted may be good. Sook Yean says a family who frequents the market is interested to adopt the cat.

Tiger’s Appetite Improves!

Spaying Sponsorship For 1 Female Dog (Then Lai Fatt’s)

We have fully sponsored RM150 for the spaying of 1 female dog rescued by Then Lai Fatt (aka Ah Fatt). This subsidy comes from the AnimalCare Donors (RM50) and Berjaya Cares (RM100).
Ah Fatt works as a fishmonger in the market in the mornings and does all his rescue work after that. We have been helping with his cases for a number of years now and he only claims whenever he runs short of funds.
He is not internet savvy.

My mum and I had been planning a surprise for Agnes Cheong. Agnes has been making many trips (by bus and on foot) to various textile stores in KL to purchase cloth for us to make blankets for auction. Now, that’s really hard work. Heart work?

Tiger’s Trip To The Vet’s

Tiger was still sneezing a little last night and his appetite isn’t fantastic, so I thought a trip to the vet’s might allay my fears.
Cow has been keeping him company ever since the day of the attack (for the record, Cow attacked Tiger and Tiger landed up with several puncture wounds on his paw). Tiger was on one week’s antibiotics (Amoxycillin and Metronidazole) and on the very next day after the 7-day course, his left eye started tearing and he was sneezing.

Rememb er how Santa Claus swooped down on his reindeer and won the Diagonals in Blue (Blanket No. 14) for RM351? Then, Santa directed us to send the blanket to the first bidder, Maneki Neko, as a Christmas present. Maneki Neko then donated her bid of RM300 to us, thus, Diagonals in Blue chalked up RM651 for the animals!
