Hemopet Services 22nd Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
A friend used the services of Hemopet (http://www.hemopet.org/) to do specific blood tests for her pet dog and has found their services to be good.
It is interesting that she belongs to the school of thought that prefers to avoid vaccination, so she sent her pet dog’s blood to be tested at Hemopet. What was found is that her dog (a rescued stray) already has the antibodies and hence, does not need to be vaccinated anymore for the rest of his life.
But her pet also has a skin (itching) prob...

Bacoff All Purpose (Organic Disinfectant) And Sanitiser 21st Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
We are also carrying three of Bacoff’s pet and pet-related products in our merchandise line.
Our stock arrived last week.
Here’s a feedback from Connie, who bought the 5 litre Sanitiser, for her doggy area:
Absolutely wonderful. No more smell of stinky urine. Also, i think bcoz of the nice serai (lemongrass) smell, it also chased out the mosquitos. Used to have many at the turtle pond.
And of course, I have been using the Sanitiser since November 2013 and if it’s not excellent,...

Yes, there was a conference at the border and I was hoping for a breakthrough in the peace talks.
This happened yesterday…
Indy to Bunny: So, should we make peace with them?
Bunny replies: Hmm…I’m not sure, what do you think, Cow? Why don’t you two decide, I want to take a nap.
Meanwhile, outside, Timmy represents the PatioCats to negotiate for peace.
Well, we are a peaceful lots. You see, we mean no harm.
And what do you think happened today?
I was SO surprised…...

Tiger Day 45 20th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
I think we should soon be able to start our 30-day countdown soon, I hope!
Left front paw. You can hardly see it today as it’s crusted. I hope it doesn’t flare up anymore!
I think Path-Away stops Tiger from licking, so the sores don’t flare up anymore. Otherwise, it’s very hard to tell the difference whether it’s red because of licking or the sporo rearing its ugly head. So, Path-Away helps in this way.
Looking forward to each day closer to our countdown!
Tige...

Spreading The Word Of Kindness 20th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
On weekends, I give talks at various places, and whenever I get the chance, I do talk about kindness to animals.
This morning, I was at the Kinrara Metta Buddhist Society.
Little did I know that amongst the audience was a little 7-year old girl, Chan Siew May, who had sat in the corner, clutching one of my books, See you at Rainbow Bridge.
After the talk, an adult brought her up to meet me and to get my autograph on her book.
I was so thrilled to meet this little girl. Her doggy-eared Rainbow bo...

A Note About Pos Ekspres And Persistent Late Applications 19th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Lately, a lot of applications have arrived late even though they were sent by Pos Ekspres (which is what we recommend our applicants to do because it’s much cheaper than Poslaju and it used to guarantee a next-day delivery).
So I went to enquire at the post office and was told that there is no more guaranteed next-day delivery for Pos Ekspres now.
The Pos Ekspres envelopes used to look like these:

This scientist postulates that elephants are capable of self-awareness, thinking of what others are thinking, seeing the world from someone else’s point of view and even, perhaps, spirituality.

Tiger’s Den, Heidi’s Hideout And Other Patio Tales 18th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Last night, Cow took over Tiger’s den.
Poor Tiger…
My den’s been taken…
We know, Tiger, but even we dare not mess with Cow.
Tiger had time-out in Timmy’s vegetable patch this morning.
Tabs played with Heidi.
Where are you, Tabs?
There!!
Ever since the day two tabbies were in the cage, Heidi has been hiding inside the cage a lot.
She seems to like it a lot!
Her trick is to lie very still and quietly inside the cage at night so that we don’t know she is ...

Two Men To Run Across The Sahara Desert For Street Dogs 18th Apr 2014, by AnimalCare
Li Lian shares this inspiring story: https://sg.news.yahoo.com/inspiring-2-men- running-250km-033003341.html
When 36-year-old Mr Chin Wei Chong chose to run 250km across the Sahara Desert for charity, many did not know that he was indeed gambling with his life. The marketing communications director was diagnosed with a heart murmur last year and doctors had initially refused to approve his participation in the six-day race.
On the other hand, his buddy and fellow runner, 35-year-old Mr Ian L...
