Ginger’s Supervised Orientation (with No Mishaps) 19th Jul 2014, by AnimalCare
Today, I took a chance and let Ginger into Bunny’s room when everyone was asleep after dinner.
Tabs is friends with Ginger outside. After all, they have breakfast together, but surprisingly when inside, Tabs wasn’t friendly anymore. But she wasn’t hostile either. Just indifferent and neutral, like, “What are you doing here? I think you are in the wrong place, Mister.”
The two titans were asleep.
Cow woke up and looked.
I kept my eyes on Cow and I think I didnR...

Ginger’s Rooftop Escapades 18th Jul 2014, by AnimalCare
As a follow-up to my concerns about what Ginger does during his rooftop escapades, Chen cautioned me about possible heat-stroke (which may explain why he was in a daze after coming down from the rooftop, but I only observed this on 2 days).
We got talking and Chen suggested I may want to confine Ginger in a bathroom and break his habit of going to the rooftop, a habit he has had even before we moved here, because I’d already spotted him coming from the rooftop when we first encountered hi...

Dogs Don’t Die; They Just Sleep In Your Heart! 18th Jul 2014, by AnimalCare
I like this: http://www.tickld.com/x/why-dogs-never-actu ally-die-this-guy-nails-it
I particularly like this piece of writing, not so much for what you read at face value, but the deeper meaning embedded in it. For me, there is an underlying message in it that we should not anthropomorphise animals. How we view or fear “dying” may not be how an animal views it.
Human fear death like they fear the plague. They don’t want to die, they are not willing to die, and when it ...

Adopting The “less Adoptable” Ones 18th Jul 2014, by AnimalCare

Spotted by a friend when he was a tiny kitten and had fallen into the drain. I was supposed to only foster him as the friend was going for a holiday, but the first check-up at the vet’s revealed he had eye, Eustachian tube and very severe bladder infections and his chances of survival was very slim. And What Do You Do At The Rooftop Plaza, Ginger? 17th Jul 2014, by AnimalCare
We know that whenever Ginger disappears for hours, he would most probably (almost certainly) be at the rooftop plaza.
But we don’t know exactly which part of the neighbour’s roof he is at, and more interestingly, what Ginger does up there.
Here’s the strange thing….
Whenever Ginger comes down from the rooftop, he seems a little disoriented and is “not himself”.
I don’t know how to describe it exactly, but he seems a little “high” on something...
