Indy Bullies Ginger 5th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
Indy escaped again today, to the patio.
And he decided to pick on Ginger.
Cats have incredible patience and persistence. After half an hour, he is still staring at Ginger, trying to annoy him.
Until he went overboard, put his paws up and screamed at Ginger. That’s when we took him back to Bunny’s Place.
Meanwhile, Ginger is wearing his tshirt backwards because more of his chest will be covered that way.

Our Weekly Subcut Sessions 5th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
A friend asked if I could share share how I do the subcut for our cats (namely, Cleo, Pole and Bunny) so I took some videos.
I’m not a vet, so this may not be the best or most correct way to do it, but I’ve been doing this for sometime now, and so far, everything has been alright.
I thought I’d just post these videos in case anyone is interested to see how I do the subcut at home. I’m glad I can do it at home, especially during times like these where it’s difficult ...

Indy Does It Again (hypnotism In Action) 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
He did it again this morning!
First thing in the morning, eating with the Kitchen Cats at the window sill.
Then…
Indy: What about me? Why aren’t you feeding me??
Hahaha…You’re not getting away with it this time, Indy. I took a photo. See? I took a photo of you eating just 10 minutes ago.
Indy: No….look into my eyes….that is not today’s photo. That is yesterday’s photo. Look into my eyes…..
Yum, yum….
Some more, please? &n...

Waiting For Minnie And Trixie, And A Reflection On One-Street CNRM 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
I bought a small bag of Iskhan kibble because I figured it would be more practical to leave a bowl of kibble outside the gate for Minnie and Trixie. Kibble won’t spoil as fast as raw food.
So I waited this morning while I did my taiji in the porch. Trixie did not turn up and neither did Minnie. I got a little worried and texted a neighbour to ask if he had seen Minnie the day before. He answered in the affirmative that he just spotted Minnie last night when he was throwing out his garbage....

A Mascot-Tshirt For Ginger! 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
Husband suggested I put a tshirt on for Ginger in case he is cold at night. We already let him stay inside the house at night (not the patio), but he has got so used to patio that he would find ways to sneak out and sleep on the chair in the patio every night.
So I took out all the tshirts we have – Indy’s, Tiger’s, Daffodil’s, but none could fit Ginger. He is just SO big.
Hmm….now how?
Sew one!
So I took out some old tshirts, used Indy’s Gay-Rock-Star tshirt...

Ginger’s Nebulization Progresses Daily 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
It’s progressing very well.
Ginger loves it!
He’s always been envious of Pole, Cleo and Bunny because they have subcut sessions regularly and he doesn’t.
Well, now, he has nebulization every single day for the total of 20 days!
As the vet remarked earlier on, Ginger puts his nose at the outlet and sniffs the fumes. He just loves it!
Also, he is so much better now. What a relief!

The Great MCO-Violator Escapees And Their Capture 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
This morning I was suddenly awakened by a strange loud sound. I had been exhausted and sleeping very late for the last few nights because of the preparation of e-learning materials for my work.
But my husband shouted, “Heidi has escaped!!”
I jumped up and realised that Heidi was on our roof! The stainless steel mosquito netting frame had been pushed open (it’s heavy, believe me) and yes, Heidi was on the roof and so was Tabs!
Two cats on the roof!! Both were so happ...

Indy’s Hypnotism (cont) And Other Stories 4th Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
I’m way behind in stories, so let me start from yesterday morning’s.
The day began with….
…Indy eating at the window sill with the Kitchen Cats.
Then, it was the Cow Clan’s turn…
Indy: What about me?
You’ve just eaten, Indy, don’t try to fool me…
Indy: No, I haven’t. Look into my eyes…..
Indy: Yumz…!! Works all the time!
Then, he pushes his chair to Stargate.
To get a good view of what’s going on in th...

Helping Street Animals During The MCO-Crisis 2nd Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
Here’s what one person and her friends did for street animals during this MCO-crisis. We supplied the dogfood and this is what they did:
I would like to let you know the feeders managed to collect the dogfood kibbles by yesterday.
Kind people from Klang Valley and everywhere else has responded to feed street animals, including civil servants on duty in the field..
There are excess kibbles after feeders here take their share and we have given through lorry drivers who transport essentia...

Feeding Little Minnie 2nd Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
Little Minnie is a small grey cat in our neighbourhood. I’ve seen her around quite a bit and she comes from the houses down the road. So I always thought she stays in one of those houses.
A neighbour informed me two days ago the he saw Minnie (name given by me) clutching a piece of chicken in her mouth on the road.
So this morning, I kept a lookout for Minnie while I was doing taiji in the porch. A little tortoiseshell came to say hello. I’ve seen her around too. So I quickly w...

Ginger’s 2nd Home Nebulization 2nd Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
I know how to do it now, so it’s very easy.
It took about 15 minutes today. And Ginger did not struggle. In fact, he rather enjoyed it, happily breathing in the fumes!
We’re done!
Heidi takes the carrier. Ginger takes the basket.
Wait, no social distancing? The vet said Ginger is most likely no so infectious now unless he coughs. If he coughs and it’s bacterial, he could still be infectious.
He seems much better today. The nebulization is for 20 days.

Indy’s “hypnotism”-Assisted Escapes 2nd Apr 2020, by AnimalCare
I think Indy uses hypnotism.
Otherwise, how do you explain his lightning-speed dashes out of Bunny’s grille such that the person opening the grille does not even realise he has escaped?
Or, how do you explain the fact that he can eat at the window sill with the Kitchen Cats and then, when you go to the pantry to feed the Cow Clan, there he is again, and try as you do, you simply cannot remember if he had eaten earlier (which is merely 10-15 minutes ago)? You think and think and you j...
