Life’s Little Reminders

Tomorrow I will get my platelet count checked again and hopefully, it will be on the way up back to normal. I see this encounter with dengue fever not so much as a wake-up call to take it easier and slower in life, but more of a “confirmation” of a feeling I’ve had for many months now. I only stayed for 2 nights at the hospital; the first night was at the High Dependency Unit and the second night at the normal ward. But for a cat, a human being away for 2 nights and 3 days is a long time. Of course it broke my heart that I could not explain to them why I was gone and I certainly didn’t want them thinking that I had abandoned them. The Recovery Process From Dengue Fever

Today is Day 6 since my high fever started and according the the general trend of dengue fever, Day 6 is when the platelet count takes a dip.
