Watch How An Animal Communicator Sheds Lights On The Feelings Of A “ferocious” Leopard
11th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

This video is 13 minutes long, but I can almost guarantee you that it’s worth your time watching it. http://www.dizzyturtle.com/animal-communicator -anna/ This black leopard, named Diablo, was deemed to be “too ferocious” and absolutely unapproachable until an animal communicator, Anna Breytenbach, was invited to speak with him. What’s most amazing is that Diablo could tell Anna that he wanted his name changed as Diablo had negative connotations and he wasn’...

Medifoods Comes On Board KindMeal.my Today!!
11th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

We’ve been patrons of Medifoods as long as we’ve lived in Subang Jaya and that’s quite a long time now. And I take my meals there very often too. So, for me personally, Medifoods coming on board KindMeal.my today is a celebration in itself and I was pleasantly delighted to know that I’m their first KindMeal.my customer when I stopped by after work armed with my first-ever KindMeal.my coupon (see below): I learnt yesterday that if we log in with Facebook, we get double t...

So Green, And So Clean (and Safe For The Environment)!
10th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

We are really excited about this new product from Bacoff! It’s not exactly “new” on the market, but it is new to us! For those who like liquid soap, this is really, really good….and cheap too! SO GREEN Organic Hand Cleaner It is only RM18 for a 1 litre bottle and RM78 for a 5 litre (commercial grade) bottle. For an organic, biodegradable, environment-friendly product, I have not come across anything this affordable so far! It’s perfect for “greenies” ...

Cow Vs Cleo (Oh No! Not The Right Eye Again!)
9th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

A huge fight broke out in Bunny’s Place this evening while we were out. Ming-Yi said by the time she managed to get to the garden, Cleo was seen huddled up among the plants and Cow was in an antagonising position, all fluffed up. A close check after we came back revealed that Cow’s eye was scratched. It was the right eye….AGAIN! We will have to monitor that eye and see if anything else happens to it tomorrow. It was a little bit of reddish discharge. I’ve alr...

Why Your Lost Dog May Not Run Back To You
8th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

This is a very useful article for dog-owners: https://nodogaboutit.wordpress.co m/2012/11/18/why-your-lost-dog-may-not-run-back-to -you/ I can totally relate to it because in his 16 years of living with us, Bobby had run out of the gate twice. The first time, we spotted him in many places all over the neighbourhood, but the moment he saw us, he just bolted as though he had never seen us before. After a quick and desperate consult with the vet, I learnt that once a dog is lost, he sometimes...

Gifts By Donation: Two Pink Blankets
7th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Remember the lady who visited our Wesak booth who came with the two daughters who love the colour pink? Well, she ordered another two blankets and they must be pink! It’s been quite some time since I sewed a blanket. Somehow, after I recovered in January, our blankets had already lost their appeal. Well, nothing good lasts forever. Will just have to make hay while the sun shines and once that’s past, we have to look for other means to raise funds for the animals. So, when this ...

Tiger’s Harrowing Experience (Spider-Cat No. 2 In The Making?)
7th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

It just happened a few minutes ago and we are all terribly shaken. Something hadn’t been going right the whole day. Cow and Indy had been pacing back and forth, mewing loudly, which appeared like they were trying to tell us something. But as always, we aren’t smart enough to understand Cat (language). Then, it happened. Ming-Yi took this photo from the kitchen. It was Tiger, making an attempt to….do the impossible!! Tiger??? Yes, the mild-mannered Tiger. Yes, really. It was ...

Feline Guard, Bank Employee Extraordinaire!
7th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Joy shared this story: According to the report, Muning the Cat, is the bank’s guard-cat. She is “employed” to take care of the rat problem (which had been causing the destruction of cables at the bank). Muning even has her own identification tag! This is the Development Bank of the Philippines in Manila. So, again (and again!), we say that leaving cats in their colony has a purpose – they take care of the rat problem. The presence of cats itself will almost ensure the r...

Variants Of The Angry Birds Therapy
6th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Instead of just sitting on the blanket, one might also try these other ways… Three guesses of who that might be… It’s Cow! It’s called the Angry Birds-Tortoise therapy. Cleo wants to try too? Yes, good for you too, Cleo. You have to stop your raptor behaviour. I put my right foot out, I put my right foot in…. You do the hokey pokey and you turn yourself aroundThat what it’s all about. Indy: You do NOT fool around in Angry Birds therapy sessions...

Tiger, Our Ahimsa-Cat
6th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Tiger is our most harmless and gentle cat. He’s the one with the fiercest-sounding name, but has remained the gentlest among all the cats we’ve ever had or fostered. Most of our cats chase after moving small objects, inanimate or animate. Tabs, for example, who is normally a scaredy cat, turns into a complete monster when she sees cicadas. Here’s Tiger last night, watching a little insect go about its business on the floor. It’s all too common for cats to paw on mo...

A Groundbreaking (and Groundshaking?) 5-Cat Day-Out Adventure
6th Jun 2015, by AnimalCare

Since moving into this house, we’ve never ever let FIVE cats out at the same time before. That was simply unthinkable and you do not take such risks. On a daily basis, Tabs and Tiger get to come out whenever we are home. This is because they are totally friendly with the PatioCats and we don’t have to worry about fights or having to rush to the vet’s on emergencies.  And when Tabs and Tiger are out, that’s when you also see them totally relaxed and extremely thankfu...
