On Daffodil’s Trail 2nd Aug 2015, by AnimalCare
As you know, Daffodil is completely at home now, after straying the streets for more than 10 years before we moved into this neighbourhood in 2011.
Rosie was the first to invite herself into our compound. This was followed by her brother, Ginger, who came in to ask for help – he had been bitten by Mr Quack and the sore was turning gangrenous. So, Ginger came to the patio and sat inside the cage. How smart is that, right?
So I took Ginger to the vet and he had to be caged and on antibiotic...

Tiger Fights Back 30th Jul 2015, by AnimalCare
We have all heard of the adage “Enough is enough!”, haven’t we?
And we all know (or think we know) that Tiger is ever peaceful and timid and that he has been tolerating all the Cow-attacks and bullying for the last 9 years. Tiger was target-practice for the Cows, we thought. Hence, poor Tiger…
However, recently, we suddenly realised that perhaps we’ve got it all wrong all these years (that shouldn’t be surprising at all since we humans are oh-so-sadly-mistak...

Let’s Hope They Will Not Do It Again…ever! 29th Jul 2015, by AnimalCare
A friend sent me this video (below) sometime ago, but I couldn’t gather enough courage to watch it despite her telling me that it was about this little child who had saved a goat from being sacrificed.
My friend assured me it was a very touching video and that the goat was saved, but I still could not watch it. I suppose it’s because there is just so much cruelty to animals in this world and you know about it and you are already doing all you can to promote kindness to animals (from...

Demand Justice For Cecil The Lion’s Killer In Zimbabwe 29th Jul 2015, by AnimalCare
Please read and sign:
http://www.care2.com/causes/demand-justice-f or-cecil-the-lions-killer.html
May you be in a good place now, Cecil.
Please let’s speak up against all kinds of hunting, with or without permit.
“Hunting and fishing involve killing animals with devices (such as guns) for which the animals have not evolved natural defenses. No animal on earth has adequate defense against a human armed with a gun, a bow and arrow, a trap that can maim, a snare that can strangle, or...
