When help and advice offered to those in power falls on deaf ears and cold hearts, when those who can make a difference refuse to learn from others who know better and have done better, perhaps it’s now time to pray for the safety of all animals, to pray for innocent lives who have been needlessly sacrificed due to the ignorance (and sadly, arrogance) of some humans. With the rabies alert and the human threats, it’s time to keep our animals indoors.
This is the time I’m really glad we built this place for the cats. Initially a few friends remarked that I am curbing their freedom by keeping them confined in spite of the fact that they have a room, a pantry, a garden, sunshine, grass and shelves to play on. But I’m glad we did this for them.

Cow Fights Back?

Cleo has been bullying Cow and Tabs for a long time now. She is the food raptor – she steals Tabs’ food all the time (so we have to monitor feeding time or put Tabs on a high place so that she can eat in peace). And she intercepts Cow whenever Cow wants to go out of the room.

Did you know? 3,000 dogs used to be culled every year in Cali, Colombia for fear of rabies. We persuaded the government to sterilise dogs instead. The number of strays fell by 25%. Dog bites reduced.
