Patagonian Penguin Alters Migration To Visit Saviour Every Year

Five years ago, a retired bricklayer called Joao Pereira de Souza found a penguin drenched in oil on the beach near his home in Brazil. Realising the bird would be doomed if left unaided, Joao took him home, cleaned him up and fed him sardines. And named him Jingjing.
Once Jingjing had regathered his strength, his kindly saviour took him back out to sea and released him back into his natural environment. Job well done...

I mixed the Golden Paste (turmeric paste) into Monge and to my surprise and happiness, all 12 cats ate everything up!
I had expected resistance or even protest, but no, there was no initial suspect or sniffing at all.

We have an ottoman cushion upstairs from our old furniture set which currently isn’t being used. So Ming-Yi suggested that we bring it down for the cats.
An excellent idea, provided the Titans don’t spray on it.
We would have to wrap it with at least two layers of towel, to protect it from being sprayed on. But instead of the towels, I decided to use the Angry Birds blanket.

We helped Mdm Ngoo get her 24 rescued cats neutered in 2013 and 2014 when a vet from the Klang Valley drove down to neuter her cats and took all the photographs to enable our sponsorship. Now, Mdm Ngoo managed to find a kind vet in Mentakab who is willing to help her with the neutering as well as photo-taking and texting the photo collage to us. All of Mdm Ngoo’s cats are rescued from the street.

I found this piece very profound, especially in this period where all of us are experiencing substantial change in our lives. I, too, experienced this: from being very sick in November up to January and finally, being well again now. From wanting to give up everything, struggling to maintain the minimum, to being rejuvenated and raring to go again now.
