Remember the dog with the blue collar found wandering in SS18 for days? It’s been more than 2 weeks now and no one has claimed him.
My friend is fostering him temporarily.

Vincent, Safe For The Night

I was a little apprehensive about leaving Vincent caged up at the patio for the night. My worry is what if he needed to defend himself or run for safety and is trapped.

Vincent’s Stomatitis, To The Vet’s Again

After the steroid injection on Sunday, Vincent returned twice on the day itself for his meals, so I thought there was already progress.
However, yesterday, he only came back to eat once and thereafter, he did not return and we could not find him anywhere as well.
This morning, he came back for breakfast but refused to eat until much later when he was caged – he finally finished all the wetfood.
I decided not to take any chances and to take him to our regular vet.

All the cats had breakfast at 6.30am this morning and Vincent too came, but hid in his bush (the flower beds, that exact spot again). We had to carry him into the kitchen, but he didn’t feel like eating.
I only had a can of ID with me, so I opened that and mixed his crushed half tablet of Baytril with some ID, rubbed it onto his mouth, but that proved to be rather difficult to administer. I tried to open his mouth but he made that reaction where he resisted vehemently and wanted to bolt. ...

We brought Vincent to the vet’s and got his problem diagnosed – it’s gum inflammation and it’s quite severe too. According to the vet, there is no cure, only maintenance.
At long last, this explains his behaviour and why he has difficulty eating.
