BARF And Vincent’s News 16th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
Ever since that disappearance act, Vincent has been home a lot. Thank goodness!
His appetite is fantastic and he loves BARF. In fact, he doesn’t like kibble anymore now.
Breakfast is still Monge. I thaw the BARF in the fridge overnight, so by morning, it’s still cold. That’s why I still give Monge in the morning. Cold food in the morning might cause them to vomit.
That’s Vincent polishing up his breakfast.
For lunch, it’s BARF. The Inside-Cats still share a can of...

Daffodil’s Visit To The Vet’s 16th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
On the day that Vincent went for his dental surgery, we also took Daffodil to the same vet.
We found her limping that morning, lifting up her right front leg whenever she walked. Not wanting to take any chances, we decided to take her to the vet’s for a check-up.
Daffodil has never been anywhere away from here except for the time we caught her and sent her for spaying. That was the only time.
She didn’t expect to be put in a carrier, so it wasn’t difficult catching her and put...

More Yoghurt Treats For The Cats 14th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
So, the cats read the blog and insisted that they simply MUST have Farmer’s Union Greek style Yoghurt.
What cats want, cats get.
Here we go….
And yes, it’s extremely creamy.
The whole idea of feeding them a little bit of yoghurt is to prepare their stomachs for BARF.
It’s a resounding “YES!!!” from Heidi, Rosie and Daffodil. Ginger was sleeping in the porch and he didn’t know about this. Vincent ate dinner and went off earlier. Zurik doesn’t co...

After The Big Fight And Barf Updates 14th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
There was a big fight today.
I was at work. Bunny was out for his romp in the porch and he launched a locked-body attack on poor Ginger. Fur flew all over the porch. There were no injuries, thank goodness. After Jia-Wen broke up the fight, Bunny went for Vincent. He did his “tall tower” posture on Vincent and Vincent cowered and ran off.
Tired out after his two rounds of bullying Ginger and Vincent.
When I came home and heard all about it, I was worried Vincent might not come back ...

The Scare Of My Life (Vincent Went MIA) 14th Apr 2016, by AnimalCare
Vincent went missing after lunch yesterday. He ate a very hearty lunch (asked for a second helping) and that was the last I saw him.
The grass-cutters came and usually the PatioCats will hide somewhere and re-appear after they are gone.
At dinner time, only Daffodil, Rosie, Ginger, Heidi and Zurik were present. I went out to look for Vincent and called him, but he did not turn up.
At supper time (yes, sometimes they ask for a kibble snack), my husband was back and usually whenever he calls, Vin...

All of the cats in the study made full recoveries and were back to their old selves within 20 days of receiving the antiviral treatment.
If a cure can be found for FIP, it...
