Early This Morning

I got up at 3am today.
Some people are going to get very upset because I got up “so early”, but they forget to ask what time I slept last night. Haha.
I slept at 8pm. So that’s 7 hours of sleep, which is quite sufficient for an elderly person like me.
Also, in yoga, the advice is to sleep 2 hours after sundown and rise 2 hours before sunrise. So okay, I slept too early and rose too early, but it’s okay. I’m not complaining.

The Monsters’ Fantastic Appetite!

This is the Monsters’ breakfast. The canned chicken is for Ginger because sometimes, in the morning, he just prefers cooked food. Maybe it’s too early to eat raw food? I really don’t know but I’ve noticed this preference in him. But by evening, Ginger will be okay with raw food.
There is also probiotics and fish oil for them. Now, I can totally add the supplements into their bowls. They eat everything up.

The Blondies’ New Den

During Cow Mau’s final days, he slept at this spot a lot and sometimes the Blondies would accompany him too. It’s a good earthing spot.
Now, it is the Blondies’ new family den.
Bunny’s Place has a room with air-cont, a pantry and garden with grass, soil and sunshine. Now, it’s the property of the Blondies. Riley and Tabs are totally welcome too. So it’s a girls’ sorority house of sorts.

Pogonatherum For The Blondies!

Goodness me, what is that big word, Pogonatherum?
Haha…
It’s what we called, affectionately, “Heidi’s Grass” because Heidi was the one who “discovered” it at the playground and that’s how we brought it back to plant. The cats love it and I think it might have medicinal value. They simply love munching on it.
So it’s scientific name is Poganotherum while it’s common name is simply, Slender Tuft Grass.

My New Targets

With Cow Mau and Indy gone now, I have to get back to certain issues which I had shelved because I had to give priority to looking after Cow Mau and Indy in their respective final weeks.
One is getting the Blondies to eat more raw food failing which, then wet food instead of depending too much on kibble as snacks. They definitely need more water in their daily diet. Waiting For AIM Food And Medicine To Come To Our Shores

I’ve written a few blogposts about the AIM research in Japan conducted by Professor Toru Miyazaki.

When I brought Jayden back from Playgroup today, he hugged Gerald and called him “Cow Mau”.
Misty, being female, is still cautious with Jayden. I think female cats are 10 times more cautious than males.

So, So Quiet In The House

With Cow Mau and Indy gone, the entire house has suddenly become so, so quiet.
Even though we still have 12 cats living in the house, it’s still so…empty, even though I need to fix some damaged rain gutters, is okay because I got a service to help me with this.

In Loving Memory Of Our One-And-Only Indy Jones (an Adventure Spanning 16 Wonderful Years!)

Indy was rescued at about 2 weeks old from a deep drain on 31st May 2008. An acquaintance who discovered him in a drain had requested help with rescue as well as to foster him for a week while she went back to her hometown for a holiday.
Indy stayed with us for 16 years.

The Boys Pay Their Last Respects To Indy

Sihui brought Ryan and Jayden over to pay their last respects to Indy this morning.
Ryan left for school after that while Jayden will be at our house all day.
The boys are too young to understand what death is. But maybe when they grow older and look back at the photographs, they will understand it. The book, “The Sky Goes on Forever” is a wonderful secular children’s book to teach them about death.
