Sailor Bear – Blanket/bedspread For Fundraising!

Here’s another lovely piece of cotton contributed by Ms Ooi.
Once the backing is sewn and quilted with the top (my mum will do that when it is ordered), it can be used as a large blanket or a single bedspread.
It measures 63 in by 87 in!

The Food Story On The Homefront

Our home-cooked meals are going well with the cats.
I’ve gradually been adding raw meat into the cooked meals and blending them together.
Even Poldrey Hepburn and Mr Zurik are happily eating it now!

Starting The Year With Hope

Last year was indeed a very challenging year for us. Almost every month, we ended the month with a deficit (where we had to use a large amount of our reserves to cover the month’s neutering aid payouts). Even at the beginning of every month, we would be on a deficit.
But this year…January has been good…so far (for the first 9 days, at least). We haven’t needed to dig into our reserves yet and this is really, really good.

I completed an order of 3 songkety (that’s songket-y) bags today for my friend, Yvonne, along with several more of the huge bags!

How To Fold A Foldable Bag (tutorial)

We’ve had some enquiries about how to fold the foldable bag (which we are sewing and selling for fundraising for the animals), so here’s a pictorial tutorial:
Step 1: Place the bag flat.
Step 2. Fold the handles in.
Step 3: Fold into three rectangles.
Step 4: Fold the two ends inwards so that it forms a square.
Step 5: Open up the end that has a “pocket”.
Step 6: Tuck the other end neatly into this “pocket”. It fits perfectly.

Guess how many bag orders we received?
We’ve sold four already (earlier on).
And as it stands now, we have 44 more orders!

Three More Foldable Bags – Sold!

I brought my newly sewn green foldable bag to buy groceries this afternoon. A friend spotted it and we got talking about #Bebas Plastik. So I showed her how this bag could be folded and would you believe it, she decided to buy my first-sewn bag! So, that’s already sold AND there are orders for another three more.
