Of The Yowler, Taiji And Life

Gerald’s yowling has intensified.
Early this morning, he started yowling at 4am. I tried my usual “telepathy” messages which always worked, but it totally failed this time. His yowling continued until 5am. So, that’s an hour’s yowling, which was really very disturbing and exhausting especially when it was during the wee hours of dawn. I had half a mind to just go downstairs and let him go outdoors because I know I would not be able to stop him.

Tabs gets the privilege of getting to eat whatever she wants since she’s a senior now.
Riley, well, she’s very fussy, so I either force feed her or she also gets whatever she wants, which is Tabs’ AIM food from Japan. Riley loves it.
It’s been a cold day today, so all our cats are napping. Tabs is actually so much more cheerful after starting on Fortekor. The transformation has been very significant.

Nomi And Miao On A Rainy Day (updates From Their Aunt)

Nomi and Miao’s adopters’ aunt, Mrs Leow, very kindly updated us on Nomi and Miao today. She went to visit them and both are doing well.
In fact, Nomi is the same size as her mother, Miao, now. Both were cuddling up together on the rainy morning and according to Mrs Leow, they mewed very sweetly to her when she visited.
They are eating well, defecation is good, and they both have beautiful coats.

Gerald’s Yowling

Gerald has been confined indoors for a month now.
Of course he has not stopped yowling, but the yowling was getting really, really intense and bad for the past few days. It had been louder and more persistent.
It also looked like he was trying to find a way to escape to the outdoors.
Gerald’s mental health vs his safety…it is a tough call, but let’s see how it is moving forward.

Tabs Is Looking Much Better

After starting on Fortekor, Tabs appears to be in much better spirits!
She definitely looks brighter and is also more cheerful.
We had to change the pillowcase for her special favourite pillow because Indra keeps sleeping on it.

Can The Monsters Control Gerald’s Yowling?

We can only try and see if it works.
Husband let the Monsters go over to Bunny’s Place. The Blondie girls are all in the Safehouse and Samantha is in the room. Only Gerald is in the garden with the Monsters. He doesn’t seem at all intimidated by their presence at all. After all, he figured, they are the guests and he is the host. Right?
Soon, the Monsters decided to go back to their Catio and what do you know…Gerald decided to play the guest by crossing over.

Serai Stories

The serai stories continue…
We have three potted serai plants to rotate; one for the Blondies, one of the Monsters and one intermediate plant for rotation. It’s like when two persons dine in a Chinese restaurant, they serve you three cups of Chinese tea; for for each person and one more intermediate one to cool down the tea.

The Tightrope Walker And The Yowler

It’s very fascinating watching Kai balance on the clothes lines with such ease every morning. She never fails to do this, to watch the insects flit to and fro from the tree branches.

Tabs To The Vet’s (PCKD Check-Up)

Along with Ginger, we also took Tabs to the vet’s for her PCKD check-up today.
Unlike Ginger, Tabs’ CKD has progressed. Granted, hers is actually a PCKD and not CKD alone. Tabs has polycystic chronic kidney disease whereby multiple cysts presents in both her kidneys. It is a structural deformity and there is nothing we can do about it except to manage the CKD. The presence of these growing fluid-filled cysts impedes her kidney functions thereby leading to CKD.
