6.40am – The Miracle Happened!!!!!!! Daffi Is Back!!!!! 13th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I don’t know where to start!!!!
Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! To everyone who prayed hard and kept vigil with me throughout this nightmarish ordeal – Thank you!! From the bottom of my heart, thank you so, so much!!!
I woke up many times last night, I thought I’d heard noises, but it turned out to be nothing.
It was at about 6am that my husband called me from the road outside. He had an early flight this morning.
He shouted, “Daffi ...

5.30pm – Memories Of Daffodil 12th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
It is 5.30pm now.
No sign of Daffodil all day.
I am very sad to have to write this, but I think she has possibly crossed over. That was my fear on Saturday morning, that she had gone away to “cross over”.
Daffodil wasn’t lost at all. She spent all Saturday on our roof, right above us. By evening, she appeared to let me see her, on the roof. Many times too. On Saturday evening, I skipped a wedding dinner just to wait for Daffodil to return and I’m glad I did (apologies to...

10am – All Quiet 12th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
At 6.30am, I went out to look for Daffi again and met Francis. He hadn’t seen her at all.
Just then, a face popped out from the roof.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t Daffi.
It was G-Cuz.
He was the one eating the food then.
Once some other cat has invaded the place, I know for certain, Daffi will not come back to it. That’s her mega Calico-pride.
I climbed up to the roof again this morning to look. No sign of Daffi. I cleaned up that spot on the roof and left a fresh bowl of water th...

3.30am – All Quiet 12th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I woke up at 2.30am and went out to look for Daffodil.
There was no sign of her at all.
Again, at 3.30am. Nothing.
Vincent sleeps in the bedroom now and two windows are wide open with the wire-netting taken down.
Ginger waited at Stargate2 as I walked up and down the road.
If the psychics are right, Daffodil should return today.
I remember the time Timmy disappeared. The psychics said he had gone to live with a bunch of cats in a nearby house and that he would return. I never saw Timmy again, ...

8pm – No Sign Of Daffi 11th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I climbed up the ladder at 6.30pm.
The latest food was untouched. I changed the water.
There is a concrete ledge on the next door ledge. That’s where the cats sit.
No Daffi.
It looked like she no longer wants to come to this place since we have discovered and “exposed” it.
Sigh…
We had to put food somewhere, right? And in doing so, it would appear that we have “exposed” her secret hiding place.
The food hasn’t been eaten at all. Of course this...

5pm, Tents Down, But No Daffi 11th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
The last I saw Daffi today was at about 10am. I climbed up the ladder and there she was, face to face with me, just 1 metre apart. I could not catch her as I hadn’t climbed out from the ladder onto the roof yet.
She looked at me and I quickly got down, thinking of getting her food. But by the time I got up again, she was gone.
That was the very last time I saw her today.
We replenished the food after that and put out tuna and kibble. The food was untouched at 12noon and we replenished it ...

7.50am – Two Windows 11th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I went to the park to meet Francis (the Bird Family feeder before we moved in) and explained what had happened. We tried to figure out how best to handle the situation and came up with….nothing.
Francis wanted to help, so he came to our house and climbed up the ladder. Daffodil wasn’t there anymore. But the bowl was empty this time. That means all the kibble was eaten (by someone, hopefully, by Daffodil).
Now, we have opened up the wirenetting on two windows in our bedroom.
Heidi ...

6.25am – Still Unwilling To Come Down 11th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
I woke up at 5.30am this morning.
The first thing I did was to go out to the road and look at that spot. I called. Daffi wasn’t there.
So I fed everyone.
Then, I went out again.
She was there.
Sitting on our roof, looking at me.
So I looked at her and she looked at me. I called her.
I brought out the kibble jar and shook it.
She just stared at me.
I brought Ginger out with me, hoping it might have a reaction.
Nothing.
She just continued looking at us from her spot on the roof.
We ...

Making A Telepathic Contract With Dowager Daffodil 11th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
It’s past midnight now.
Daffi is on our roof, definitely. I’ve been out so many times and seen her on the roof. She’s just going back and forth and seems to be enjoying the “game”.
See this escape window? Daffodil is right outside this window. Yes, right there.
If we go up the ladder to call her, she will leave and go onto the roof. Then, we can see her on the roof, outside the house.
After awhile, she goes back to this same spot, right outside the window.
So, rat...

9pm – Still On Roof 10th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
For three hours, Daffodil sat on the same spot.
It was eerie.
Every time I went out to look, there she was, sitting upright. Looking down at me.
I already opened up the green wire-netting in our bedroom, left the window open and left a bowl of tuna there. She loves tuna.
That did not work.
There she is, in that same exact spot and if you look at the bottom left corner, that’s Ginger sitting at the pillar, looking up at her. Ginger is waiting for her, but she is not coming back.
So I too...

Daffi Spotted On Roof, Refuses To Come Back 10th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
The two psychics I contacted were extremely helpful.
The first said Daffodil is still in the neighbourhood and was frazzled by all the noise yesterday. She might return in two days’ time. The psychic kept getting the message “two days” from Daffodil. I was told to send a photo of my front gate and the psychic will tell Daffodil to look for the front gate. I sent the photo as well as the photo of the neighbour’s roof, where all the PatioCats like to go to. I t...

5pm – Still Missing 10th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
It’s just too long already.
I have written to and texted two animal communicators to seek their help to locate Daffodil and hopefully, invite her to come back.
Managed to get Ginger to eat, thankfully.
This is a nightmare.
Please come home, Daffodil.

4pm Search – Still No Sign Of Daffi 10th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
It’s past 4pm now.
We have searched high and low for Daffodil.
She is nowhere to be found.
Ginger refused to eat.
Sigh…
I let Ginger out to join in the search.
Ginger doesn’t seem to know where Daffodil is.
I also kept Zurik inside the house so that Daffodil might return (since she is scared of Zurik), but there is still no sign of her.
We can only wait…
This is the only clue to her escape. As to why…we won’t know. Was it due to the unfamiliar noise of...

Daffi’s Big “gophery” Escape 10th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
Last night, there was a function next door, so there were tents and lots of people.
Daffodil seemed very unsettled with all the strange noise. She darted to and fro, as though looking for somewhere to go.
At 11.30pm, when I went up to sleep, she was still around.
In the middle of the night, someone pee-ed on my husband’s blanket. We don’t know who it was, but he got up and cleaned the bed.
I was dead tired and slept through and yes, I am sure Daffodil did not come to wake me up at h...

Pole Visits “outside” 9th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
By “outside”, we mean, outside Bunny’s Place!
Throughout our stay in this house and apart of Pole’s escapes during the first few days of moving in, Pole has only been out of Bunny’s Place ONCE.
Yes, just once.
And that’s because she is such a good escape artist, we just cannot take the risk!
Today, we decided to try our luck.
And it’s not that Pole WANTS to come out. She doesn’t. She’s really happy being at her condo.
She went straight upst...

Daffodil’s Routine 9th Jun 2017, by AnimalCare
Daffodil has been playing hide-and-seek a lot these days.
She doesn’t want to be caught for her pilling and cleaning sessions, so she runs.
But she IS hungry – aha!
Mother and son, planning to gatecrash into Bunny’s Place??
She likes sleeping in this litter-box. It’s lined with a towel and she will only go in if the towel is fresh and clean. Calico fastidiousness!
Most of the time, she is upstairs on my blanket.
Her routine now is such that she eats breakfast, then s...
