Tabs’ Laundry Basket @ Toy

Tabs loves this laundry basket.
She will sit in it every chance she gets, and so does Indy.
Knowing that cats like sitting in such things is rather worrying, though, because this is what traps look like. Even boxes left outside is a potential “cat trap” because cats just love getting into boxes.
We have, on many occasions, removed boxes and cardboard shaped like a small “shelter” from the road. Cats who don’t realise danger might just go inside and stay there.

Daffodil’s News And The New Homecooked Catfood Recipe

Here are some photos taken over the last 2 days:
Her tshirt is only worn after the paste is applied to the tumour.
Still regular small meals, but she’s eating a bit more now.
Sometimes, she comes down to eat, but most of the time, I take the food upstairs for her since I’m feeding her every few hours per day. Daffodil eats on her own and doesn’t require any force-feeding.
She still likes to go upstairs but instead of the furry mats, she sleeps on our blanket on the bed now...

Cow Portraits

Despite the numerous frightening, suspenseful and requiring-visits-for-tetanus-jabs episodes written about Cow in the last 11 years, I have never doubted that Cow has a good heart. He is the most empathetic cat we have and if I’m sad, he’s the first to know and to comfort me.

I finally finished sewing the last one two days ago! Hope they are in time for “sedekah Hari Raya” to the orphanage (as per plan) and more importantly, to encourage the use of cloth bags as opposed to plastic bags.

Daffodil And Her Small Meals

Daffodil has been going up and down the stairs, but most of the time, she prefers to be upstairs.
So far, no signs of limping, which is a relief!
She must be wondering why I’m taking so many photos of her!
The only “problem”, if you could call it that, is that she is very fussy with food now. I’ll never know exactly what she wants to eat. You offer, she sniffs at it and turns away. Her taste changes very quickly. She can love one type of food for one meal and rejects ...

The Whale Was Full Of Plastic Bags

This video might be disturbing for many, and it is indeed sad that they had to shoot the whale as he/she was dying. But the whale insisted on coming to the shore, to send us all a message.
The whale had become a “plastic” whale, with so many plastic bags in his/her stomach.
Let him/her not die in vain. Please cut down on the use of plastic bags and save marine life.
It is the ocean that gives life to the land.

Still A Very Uphill Task

I received an email from a student recently and she was trying very hard to get her educational institution to be kinder to the dogs and cats who live within the campus. But all her efforts failed. Being young and idealistic (weren’t we all there too, once upon a time?), I could empathise with her frustrations.

Neutering Aid For 8 Dogs In Tanjong Karang (Ng Ven Dee’s)

We have sponsored RM800 for the neutering of these 8 dogs (3 males, 5 females).
Our maximum rate for dogs is RM100 each and we definitely cannot cover transportation of the vet.
